That new development is going to be huge!!! I wonder what it will do to the street parking situation. Hopefully there will be free parking on the site. If they have gated paid parking, then you can kiss the free street parking that is available now goodbye. As far as a second crossing is concerned, it won't happen in our lifetime. The subject comes up from time to time over the years and nothing happens because the question comes up as to who is going to pay. Several years ago they were talking about creating a new pedestrian enty to Mexico on the east side of the freeway so the people would not have to cross the bridge after getting off buses and the trolley. Even something that simple could not be done. Mexico was in favor of it, the US was not for security reasons. We mongers will be too old to care by the time a new crossing is built.
