The Lucerna is very nice. It is a beautiful hotel, and the food is quite good. One fave of mine liked it better than any other place we stayed in TJ. They also have a really nice swimming pool in the courtyard, and excellent room service. Downsides, to me, are that it is noisier than the Real del Rio, and has outside parking. As far as I know they do not have Jacuzzi Suites. And yes, they are expensive. They are also VERY STRICT about visitors to your room. At any of the nicer, non sex oriented hotels be SURE to register for two people. I would not consider bringing a different gal back with me each night while staying at any of them, although the Real del Rio is perhaps less likely to care than the Lucerna. If I register by myself, I always make a point of saying that I am picking my girlfriend up at the airport later that day, and make sure they understand there are two of us in the room.
