Curious, Back when I was a rookie monger named BushPilot and TJ had a different chief of police, you posted a run down on the better TJ hotels at RedSnake. One place that you rated well was the Lucerna. I went by once just to check it out and the hotel is beautiful. I would rate the hotel above the Real del Rio and I hear the restaurant is excellent. I looked at a few rooms and they seemed ok, but a little beat up. Hey we're in Mexico. The Lucerna costs about $20 or so more than the Real del Rio for a regular room. Renting with a business card was a big deal here and could knock $25 off the price. My Real del Rio comparison was with the reduced Lucerna rate. Do you know if they have suites with jacuzzis here and what they might cost ? As much as I liked the place, I never stayed here as fav and I gave it a rest shortly after I got interested in it.
