It is something that cannot be defined simply. It must be defined within the framework of what "we" know. Many people reading this have NO IDEA what the heck you are talking about. They can't even imagine what is meant by "true love". I know many people "in love". Many are married. But of all my fiends, only about three are truely in love by MY definition. Love is different things to different people, so it is hard to discuss. The "test" of being willing to give one's life for a loved one has been used for years. I happen to agree with it. I have also been lucky enough to have felt that kind of love for another person (not a parent or child) twice in my life. That is, I believe, two times more than most people will experience it.
