Keep pestering the cops to see if they have any news and make sure they have the correct VIN in their database. ALSO, there is a tow company storage lot you should check with from time to time to see if they have any record of your car being TOWED if it is in fact recovered by the police. Their record keeping is much more efficient than that of the police and they have their records kept by license plate # not VIN. The tow lot is on 7th street, I believe. As you walk out of the 8th street police station make a right on Constitucion and a left on 7th and follow seventh 3-4 blocks ontil it doglegs right. The place is called Grua Castro. When my car was stolen (almost 2 years past) the cops never notified me that it had been recovered. They had recorded the VIN wrong in their database. They caught two idiots pushing it down the street at 4 in the monring in another stolen car because their screwdriver in the ignition trick couldn't get it started. The ONLY way I found out it had been recovered was checking with Grua Castro. It woulda still been buried in a dusty junkyard near the central bus station if I hadn't. Buena suerte and don't give up hope. Also, any thought of checking on your rights to sue the Zaragoza? It may not be worth it based on the value of your car, but jeez, it WAS in a supposedly secure lot.
