Just for everybody's information I had my car stolen from the Villa Zaragoza parking lot between 10 PM Monday night and Tuesday morning at 5 AM. Despite 24 hour security and surveilance cameras of the parking lot my 1987 Honda Prelude was stolen. I discussed the matter with security and the office clerk and then went to a police station about three miles south of the hotel to make out a report. Tuesday while checking out of the Villa Zaragoza the owner talked to me about the matter and the fact that car thefts are a problem there despite 24 hour guard service. He was very apologetic and telephoned ahead to San Diego for me to get a loan car, but the fact of the matter there is very little he could do. I had no alarm or any anti burglary devices on it and the local consensus is that the car was stolen for parts. The police department told me there is about a ten percent recovery rate on stolen cars.
