I am aware of the asshole guards there also. In fact at 3 AM the security guard called me because my amiga was coming to my room after she got off work. I gave him a ten peso tip for bringing her to my room and then he started bugging me about paying for two people. Luis the day office guy told me not to worry about this as it is taken care of in the bill. Anyway no mexican insurance -- I never buy it as I usually just drive the three blocks in from the border and turn left the four blocks to the VZ. Been doing it for four years and never had a problem and never by insurance. I just found out yesterday that State Farm covers 50 miles into Mexioc at least for theft and my policy allows for a rental car. The adjuster has been pretty good and helpful so far. The only problem I have is I had a $1000 deductible - oh well it could be worse.
