Many older sex workers 30+ in Mexico have higher rates of STDs. Epidemiologists tell us this. But is it that they don't know any better, having grown up in a different era? That they don't use them out of habit? Or is it that its harder to get work when you're not a young chica? A personal pet peeve of mine -- epidemiological variables given without any social context!
