My friend, I gave up using the yellow-shirted assholes at the border months ago. I was tired of angry, intimidating demands for more money. Here's what you do. Just make a RIGHT after you go through the gates and exit at the right gate, go directly left, and up to the sidewalk and the blue and white taxi guys will be delighted to take you to your favorite whorehouse of interest for $5, with no horseshit. They are nice, down to earth guys. Coming back, horndogg's right. Wave to the AB cabbies and go over to those in front of CC. $5, no bullshit. But be sensitive. If it's 6 pm on a weekend, the traffic is terrible, and $5 will seem insufficient. In this case, I always hoof it to the $1 bus on Rev. An added advantage is the bus will usually beat you across the border if there's a line, which there sometimes is at that hour. In order to avoid any possible hassles, I do say something like "cinco OK?" before I get in. They always say OK.
