I only walk to the Zona from the border during the day. I usually go to Rev and 1st, do a quick read of 1st and then either take 1st or the diagonal street to Constitution. A Sunday or so ago, I decided to try the route that I had read both Lakers and Porker post about. Take Rev to Coahulia and then Coahulia to Constitution. Any advice on what is the preferable side of Rev on this route ? I walked up the west side (closest to Constitution). As I passed that one bar, I got a little grief. Some drunk yelled "Hey Gringo, come on in - he, he, he". No big deal, but I figured I would use the east side next time anyway. Any related experiences out there ? I like this route becuase you can see everything that is going on. Ain't many holes for the rateros to pop in and out of like on 1st. I also figure that the presence of La Tropa makes that Coahulia leg a little safer too. I like walking around TJ. I would not recommend it to a new guy. Gitano |
