Gitano: First, my credentials: I walk everywhere in the Zona, in a feeble attempt to save money... Second, while I consider the "diagonal" route the overall best route, recently I have been walking on the West side of Revolucion North to Coahuila--in the street-- and have not had as much as a hint of a problem...its vibe, tho-- particularly at night-- is about as bad as Art 123 between Rev and Constituciond -- in fact its probably a push as to which route has the worst vibe at night...the Revolucion North to Coahuila route is rather empty and forlorn in the evenings...I have pushed past Coahuila on Rev as far North as the Hotel Genie during the day... Btw, ever notice those dogs that sit out on the 2nd floor stoop at the SW corner of Rev and Coahuila?...pretty funny to see... Third: On the route back to the border late at night (or early morning, I should say), when the diagonal is emptied of its vendors, its vibe is pretty bad, I think...I think it is better to push East on 2nd to Rev and skip the diagonal...
