Getting the tourist visa is not as hard as one might assume...Some of our little pals already have them, even though they thought they (initially) that they weren't elgible. One requirement is that they can prove a "work history" ("Fichera" doesn't count....). I bought a book ( in Spanish) at Sanborn's on Calle Ocho and Rev that was written by a Mexican-American immigration attorney that details the various processes (there's more than one way to skin this cat...) but it is currently buried somewhere in my ridiculously disorganized library (which means it could be under my bed for all I know...)...if I can find it without too much concerted effort, I'll post the title and ISBN...but if you're in the vicinity of TJ, you might want to ask at Sanborn's in their book department. It's paperback and cost about 12 bucks. Suerte. KRICO |
