Porker: The City Fathers have actually clamped-down on the Cinco de Mayo thing in El Centro de San Jose...it used to be that 300,000 or so would stream into the city but no longer...first they cut back on the number and types of musical presentations and then last year they cut out the conciertos altogether-- leaving a pretty lame parade as the last vestige of of what was once the Granddaddy of Cinco de Mayo celebrations... (the rain last year didn't help much either)... I think the rioting and looting at Cinco de Mayo 1997 had something to do with the crackdown...:-) YoungBrig
