There's a great line in Born In East LA (my favorite film. Yeah, I know, CULTURED!) where Cheech and his mojado entourage emerge from a manhole to find a Cinco de Mayo parade in the streets of East LA. Someone asks him 'what's Cinco de Mayo?' And he says, 'I don't know, but we have a parade every year!'.
