I have 2 personal examples of having my car Identified electronically at fairly high speed. A few years back I was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. They have radar-activated cameras all over the place over there. The first time I was one got me was on a road in town. The speed limit was about 35MPH and I was clocked at about 45MPH. I knew the camera was there and saw the flash as I when by. I got a ticket in the mail about 3 weeks later with 3 photos attached. The first photo was of the entire car, the second was a close up of my license plate and the last one was a close up of me driving the car. The second time was on the autobahn (they do have speed limits in certain areas of the autobahn, but never below 75MPH) so my speed was probably between 75-95MPH. The Germans have been doing this for quite a wile and have worked a lot of the bugs out of there systems. |
