I suspect, but do not know for sure, that TJ has two classes of car thieves, just like the U.S. does. There are the real pros, and there are the guys who just seize whatever opportunity they encounter, be it a car, a store, a house, or a person. There are also adolescent males who will steal a car just to see if they can, or because they need a ride for the night.
