Explorer...I AM laughin' now... "To the chicas, its like they ran into a talking dog." It's true...especially if you look like the classic gringo and suddenly you start mouthin' off in Spanish...They freak. Sometimes though, I think it works to my disadvantage, because it can scare some of the chicas...like they think we are possessed or something... Reminds me of the old days (before I took up the language...), some four years ago, when a MXer would run up to me and start talkin' to me in Spanish...and my eyes would see the mouth move, and my ears would hear these noises being made by the moving mouth...and it was like watchin' this strange crazy creature goin' crazy before my very eyes.... Boy, do I think different now. It's a beautiful language, oozing with nuance and subtlety...and learning it really does sort of make ya a "talkin' dog"... KRICO
