I'm sure that the guys that met me over the weekend will confirm that I am no Cleak Gable. SO, when I make those claims about free allnighters, 2 hour jacuzzi sessions from club girls for 400 pesos, it ain't due to my looks. It's all because I can speak the same language as the chicas, and yet I look like your standard monger. To the chicas, its like they ran into a talking dog. In my book, if you're going to blow a couple of hundred $$ in Mexico on a regular basis, you'll save a lot of $$ learning their language. And, I can tell you first hand that it is possible, even if you're an old guy like me. Your time in Mexico is lot more enjoyable if you can actually communicate with the chicas - this weekend, I sat next to a gringo who was lavishing drinks on a girl in Chaveles, he was clearly interested in her, and she couldn't care less, she looked bored as hell, kept looking away, just waited for him to finally ask her to come up with the $$ to take her upstairs. Well, if you can talk to the chicas, they'll tell you all sorts of stuff, some of it is actually true. One chica told me over the weekend that she has never left TJ. Ever (well, she did go to San Diego for a few hours once). And, she was in the market for implants so she could work at AB. Hmmmm. Even the SGs will tell you their life story during down times. This all adds immensely to the Mexico experience. So, crack them books and listen to those tapes! Learn a word a day, whatever it takes.
