I think Wednesdays are best - there is a good selection of chicks, and not that many dudes.

Mondays are a little too slow(not enough chicks).

Tuesday is a little slow, but not bad.

Thursdays are pretty good.

Friday is bad(too many dudes, not enough chicks).

Saturdays are atrocious(WAY too many dudes, chicks have TOTALLY bad attitude).

Sundays - I don't really know, only went once - but as I recall it is pretty good - kind of like Tuesdays.

I think I pretty much agree with you except for Sundays...which I feel during the day is one of the best days but later when it starts to die out early (like about 3am HAH!) it thins out (chica wise) quite a bit.

A lot of the girls work 7 days a week...if they do take days off they tend to me Mon and Tues.

Mid week afternoons are often better than evenings. I was there on a Tuesday and 4 to 6 had all the girls but few guys. I went back after dinner and the girl count was down (some in rooms) and guy count up. Many of the younger newby girls have babies they go back too in the evening.

I just looked over my post and noticed an interesting typo (Thanx to Specific for making me more aware of them), I wrote "tend to me" instead of "tend to be" wishful thinking huh?

I hate to be a contrarian, but I actually prefer Saturdays, especially early afternoon and late morning. IMHO, the best selection of chicas by far is on Saturdays. I have no objection to paying more for their time, to get the best, and I ALWAYS prefer the Saturday selection - especially among street girls.

You are talking about days. I can't really say about days - I usually don't go until about 9pm, and I usually stay until about 2-4am.

In the day, it is a much slower pace. The music is lower, and there are a lot less people(about like on Monday nights).

Saturday nights after 10pm are INSANE. I used to like it when I first got there(5 years ago), when I was bopping 2-3 a night. Now, I like to drink with 2-3 of them, and pick one later in the night for a good long time in the room. This sucks on Saturday nights, as there is a "turnstyle" environment for the girls, and their time is at a premium. I've been able to cut WAY back on my expenses by not going on Friday/Saturday nights. The old dollar goes further on Tuesday nights, in my opinion.

I've been reading the Nogales posts, and this phenomenon is even MORE evident there than in TJ. Of course things work differently there - but it seems in Nogales that you are actually charged about double the Tuesday price for the private/VIP rooms, when you go on Saturday night.

All of this is supply & demand capitalism at its best.

I have another question...how many of you guys make your trips alone? My past trips have always been in groups...i guess for saftey purposes. You solo adventures, do you feel safe going in alone and staying on the TJ side of the border alone? I have traveled in central Mexico alone, But never TJ. I have to be honest if I had the balls to travel alone i think i would make the trip far more often.

I've always traveled alone...Invariably I'll run into a couple a buds down there...but even then it's only for a beer or two and then it's back to the hunt...I've made hundreds of trips into the Zona alone and I've never been mugged. I've been sworn at in Spanish 'cause I'm a gringo - they don't think I know what they're sayin' when I walk by... and shoulder punched a couple of times in various bars - like, hey..get outta my way, gringo...but that's it.)I've religiously followed the O'Toole dicta regarding safety...I say do it and don't sweat it...I know, I know, even the most safety-concious guy can ultimately get mugged, slugged or drugged...
Just don't forget where you are...and act accordingly...

Dman- how early on Saturday morning is it worth going? when do they open and how soon do the chicas filter in?

I've only been there twice so far, while working
in San Diego -- first time a sunday late afternoon, and second time a saturday night.

Want to go this weekend, and trying to decide when. I may go Saturday morning and have some fun early if the selection is good then.

Attitude is more important with me than looks, but
a nice tight petite young body is good too. Although some times the chubby ones can be the best fucks - you never know. Major turn-off for me is fake tits. I prefer real ones.

I'd say that the better street girls tend to show up around 11:00 - 11:30 AM on Saturday. Adelita's day shift tends to start generating critical mass around 12:30 - 1:00 PM Saturday.

I'm not Dman but I've been to AB plenty of times when it opens...when I spend the night at Cascadas I'm usually up well before 9am, grab some breakfast...usually somewhere on Rev and bop into AB at 10am. There are maybe 2-3 girls that early and as the day progresses you see them filter in. Like Dman says, about 1pm they are pretty much at full strength, Las Chaveles requires the early day shift girls all get there by 1pm so expect to see most of them about 2pm..HAH! Miami is about the same as LC as is Tropical Club.

Lately I've made the trek by myself a few times without any problems. Only venture between AB and CC though. Helps that I'm Mexican/American and speak fluent Spanish. Never kept the language thing a secret from the girls. They always ask where I'm from, as I don't look like any of the locals yet I speak Spanish very well. Kinda trips them out I guess. Usually stay on the US side to avoid the hassle of driving back. Whenever I go with my buds we stay in TJ and roaming is not a problem.

My first trips were solo and probably 99.9% of my subsequent trips were solo. I'll hang with guys I know as I run into them then usually as the night rolls on split off on my own. I go everywhere...including "Ratero Row". I imagine from a distance I blend in (black hair and all) so maybe they don't get to setup an ambush like they would if they had more lead time. However I think it is more how you carry yourself and as has been posted here over and over again keep your eyes open. The few times I noticed guys that might have bandido potential...they knew I noticed them...and I made sure they knew it w/o giving a feeling of being challenged. I think what some call "Street Smart" around here is in reality "Street Stupid"...that is trying to project a bad-ass image which is obviously masking the fact you are scared and can easily set off the latino "machismo" response. Being "Street Smart" is more like projecting the message "I know who and what you are, don't mess with me and I won't mess with you". Kind of a mutual respect thing, although I don't particularly respect muggers..that's the message that's sent.

Spent Saturday at AB's from 1:30-5:30pm.

Not very crowded and good ratio of chicas to hombres for first two hours. Very crowded after that, but still plenty of chicas available. Did 4 chicas (went 1 over my usual 3), was too tired to play any more after that.

I live in San Diego,I am fluent in both spanish and english and have been going to the zona now 2-3 times a week for about 4 years.It takes a while but you can get tired of anything no matter how good it might seem.Stick to your once a week or once a month trips and the zona will be a constant place of joy.There is alot of truth to that saying that to much of a good thing can be bad.

Salsa Boy, I agree with Specific, too many times burns you out. I was there Dec 28 and 29 and then returned for New Year's Eve. Now I'm putting off any trips until late next month. I think going to often kinda reduces the anxiety of making a trip down there. Sort of reduces the "special-ness" (is that a word) of a trip. You know what I mean? I usually go once a month on the weekend and I always look forward to my trip.

I average one trip every couple of months as I do not live in calf. For variety i would like to head to Asia this year and Costa rica sounds fun.

Stay at the Hotel Cascadas, it's about $28 a night, and fairly safe - just don't bring anything expensive with you.

Does Hotel Cascadas require advanced notice/reservation. I will probably be coming in Friday night late (11PM).
