Hi I am new to this site and new to visiting costa rica, but not new to the mongering scene. Will be in San Jose,CR from july 3rd - 7th staying at the Presidente. Got any reviews of the Royal Dutch? I have stayed at 20 or more hotels in San Jose but never there.

I've stayed at the RD, the Holiday Inn and the Presidente. I can best compare the RD to the Presidente:

. Beds are better (firmer) at the RD.
. Room service/food is better at the Presidente.
. RD is cheaper, even considering chica fees.
. No problem bringing more than one chica to the room at the RD.
. RD has the same overbooking problem the Morazan has... for holiday weekends, I put down a deposit.

I will be in San Jose from January 24 to January 31. This will be my first trip there. Any advice from you veterans on a good place to stay? Anybody going to be there to bum around with? I don't know much Spanish. Am I asking for trouble? Would like some good advice.

I will be in San Jose beginning February 1st and staying about a week or possibly less depending on the quality of the female populice and whether Miss CR hereself begs me to wisk her to the beach. Although a veteran of other desirable destinations this is my first exploit to CR. It would be most pleasant to meet up with fellow CH enthusiasts, veterans of CR or not. Plan on staying in San Jose at the beginning and end of trip, with fishing in the northwest (best place considering time of year?) during the week. Would like to meet up with anyone who might be in San Jose at the same time. Need advice on fishing/motel/entertainment places on the coast. Where is the best place to stay for fishing and female entertainment in the northwest? Also, are the flights to the coast from San Jose easy to catch and relatively inexpensive?

I will be in CR (SJ) from 5/6 - 5/10, brother's bachelor party. This would be a first trip for the crew. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Although we will be hunting most of the time, we are considering some white water rafting. Any ideas? Also, extended forecast shows rain almost everyday. I realize it is the beginning of the rainy season but does it rain all day or just in the afternoons? Thanks.

Me and a friend are staying at BM/DelRey May 15 & 16 before trip to beach for fishing. Would like to share some drinks with other hobbyists. First trip for me. Tried to get a reservation at Pres. but booked. Don't notice many comments from others staying at DelRey. Is price and chica fee the main reason? Hope to meet up with others at BM
