Actually I didn't feel like I was much help. For someone without much experience in TJ you seemed to know your way around pretty well. Hell, you've done Aracelli on two different trips and I'm still trying to figure out who she is. Not to mention the other monger paradises you've lived in.

Anyway, what time did you get out of CC that night? It looked like it was going to take forever for them to search everyone and turn us loose so I saw an opening and went for it. I saw someone approach the guys guarding the door and thought he wasn't going to get anywhere but next thing I knew they took him in the hall, searched him and let him go. I figured he must've paid them off but I didn't care, just wanted out of there, so I followed suit. To my surprise they didn't ask for money, just searched me and I was next door eating tacos in no time.

Hope the rest of your trip went well. This sunday afternoon will be my last time for a while.

Went to bed after I cleared security, probably around 1AM. Briefly stopped by the previous club before going to bed alone.

I probably won't make it back down until March either, but enjoyed drinking with you all the same. Interestingly enough, I think I worked off a few pounds, "the Monger diet / excercise plan."

Boxscott - walked through twice the weekend before last between 11AM and 1PM Sat & Sun respectively, and never waited longer than an hour to cross. The walk through line looks a lot worse than it is. There are bicycles you can rent for about $5 if you need to fly through, and they pick them up on the other end. The line to get a bycycle appeared to be about 5-20 minutes. Saw people riding through with backpacks but did not try.

I pass thru the pedestrian line about 2x per month, usually with a backpack. Typically they just ask what's in the backpack but yesterday the agent actually looked thru it himself. He didn't search it thoroughly but I would still be uneasy transporting anything I wasn't supposed to. They've never searched my person or asked me to empty my pockets.

I peek into AB to look for familiar faces, and then take a lap or two around the alley to kill time until the variedad starts at AB. It can start anytime between 5-6pm, so I play it by ear.

Is anyone interested in hooking up? For those who don't know me, I try to wear something easily identifiable. So look for a navy blue San Diego Chargers sweatshirt, and a blue baseball cap with gold UCSD lettering...Bosco

Milkman...tomorrow my plans are less certain than usual because I have a dentist appointment in the early afternoon (north of the border) and will probably head down as soon as I am through. I am uncertain as to when I will be done. I may arrive anytime from 3:30 onwards. I will look for you at AB periodically after my arrival and will make a point of being there at 5pm.

Daytimer...hope to see you tomorrow. Someday I want you to act as tour guide for me to Ensenada. But Fridays are tough for me nowadays so my schedule is not amenable. If I remember correctly, you typically arrive mid-afternoon so I will be on the lookout for you as soon as I arrive. I'll peek into BT and some of the other smaller bars, as well.

It's not looking good right now for me because I just got out of unexpected meeting about 10 mins ago (it's about 3:25pm) and I have to follow up with some people here because of the meeting. I think if everything goes well I might be able to get out of here by 4:30 to 5pm (I'm still in downtown LA) and probably be down at the zona by about 7 to 8pm. Hi - read your report on Phnom Penh - left you a question in the Cambodia > Phnom Penh > Phnom Penh discussion area...it concerned the name of the hotel you stayed at near the Japanese Bridge.

I spend 3 months a year in PNH, too bad I'm booked this Saturday and Sunday or I'd try to hook up with you in TJ. It's no SEA, and there sure aren't any $3-$5 short-times to be had!

On the other hand, I may be busting up with my stateside GF, it's getting very slippery, so I might be free this weekend, or part of it, after all...check ClubHombre for news (in this thread).

I'd be interested in your impressions...give us a report, eh?. I'm so spoiled by SEA that I can hardly go down to TJ any more, even though it's only 20 minutes from my place in San Diego.

It's a day later...overnight I thought - maybe not such a cool idea to see you in TJ. I've become so soured on the place that it would be unfair to you to possibly put a damper on your time there. You need to be in the company of someone who's really enthusiastic about the place.

Fact is that I generally go down to TJ only if I've got something else to do there - like pick up prescription meds. I then make a night of it, checking out all the known places (AB, CC, Las Chavelas, Miami etc)and as many out- of-the-way spots as I can fit in. I either swing through the smaller clubs 'looking for a friend', or sit down, drink an inch of beer or coke, case out the girls, then split, inevitably disappointed. As I say, SEA has spoiled me completely.

I've been going to TJ for 20 years, know my way around pretty well, had plenty of great times, but the down-trend these days has become significant. In my last 6 trips to TJ, I've come back celibate each time - and that was certainly not my intent!...when I *do* go with a girl, it's with 75-100 mg of Viagra to help out, not the 25 I usually use. And even then...But plenty of guys here at CH are infatuated with the place. Better you spend time with one of them. I thought we might have fun comapring notes on PNH, but that's surely not your main agenda.

Still interested in an answer to my question in the Asia > Cambodia > Phnom Penh discussion area, re the hotel name - and also whether the girls at the hotel were predominantly K or VN.
