I have heard that the university bars in the Candelaria barrio are great places to find non pros. I will be in Pereira one night and would love to put the saying about their girls to the test, can anyone recommend a place to go, won't have much time so I'll settle for pros there.

I don't know if anyone Follows Colombian News, but there has been reports of Yellow Fever cases in Cartagena and other areas. Anyone planning a trip should find out about it. If necesary getting a shot, to prevent it.

I am not aware of any yellow fever in Cartagena, the yellow fever outbreak never hit any population areas, it was in the countryside East of BAQ.

Can anyone recommed cheap, safe hotels in Cartagena. Specially close to the beach and the action"casas-dolce vita, etc.." and girl friendly. Travelocity quotes The Hilton for $120 per night, thats to much i'm looking for something around 50-75.

Hotel Las Velas, is a 3 star, with an ocean view of the beach, will set you back about $50-55 or so. It is located by the LDV as well. I don't think they have the internet.

I'm going to arrive in Cali on 25 February, will go to Cartagena after a few days, then to Barranquilla for a few days, and back to Cali for a few days.

Not sure how to do it, but will be flying in on American and will purchase an airpass (ANY ideas on how much it will cost to do this type of circle trip???) Some passes require you to fly on certain airlines or that you purchase it here in the USA. Have never been to Colombia, but have a few contacts I met through chats in Barranquilla.

Any tips on cheap, relatively safe hotels close to action appreciated.

I have heard a lot about Medellin. what are the best places to go to, i have read reports of clubs such as Face Dos and La Isla, are there any others. Need locations and addresses if possible.

I have decided to travel to Colombia, I going to try my luck with Medellin. March 11-21, any info will be very helpfull, regarding the best places to go and to avoid.

If you go to the Colombian section of South America, look under All Colombian Topics for Medellin, in the Hotels and Apartments there is Roberto, you can send him an e-mail to ask for some advice as well.

Best to live in El Poblado to start with, I can recommend two hotels if you don't want an apartment. What is your price range.
