I was in Porto Seguro (Arrial De Ajuda (sp)) a few years back. Not a great destination for these pursuits. The only exceptions are big events like Carnaval. So many poor young women come there for the week. I bought this beautful 18 year old a drink and her friend a bowl of soup and the hot one was on my Johnson for the rest of the trip.

The main disco is legit, however, and massages/termas are not at your disposal.

I'm heading back to Brazil, but I'm going to Rio for the action.

I'm a 49-yo exec from Tennessee. Have been to Brazil once about 18 months ago - 1 day in Rio and 5 in SP.

Tried and liked L'Houmo around 5pm on a weekday in Rio and then only did one bar in SP - Big Ben.

Going back to RIO for 7 nights just prior to Carnival - Jan 29 - Feb 4.

Anyone wanna connect....have read all the trip reports and threads....but I'm a not Portuguese-speaker....and not lazy, but just don't have the time to learn except for some phrases to write down/translate in advance.....

I'm heading to Rio for a short exploratory trip, arriving morning of March 8 (Friday) and departing evening March 11, 2002 (Monday). I'd be interested in meeting up with anybody that is planning to be in Copacabana. My intent is to sample a variety of entertainment ranging from early afternoon agencies (probably programmasexy and agencia roberta), afternoon/evening termas (probably solarium, centaurus), night at boites (probably barbarella, franks), and maybe Help disco.

you guys should really get together and rent an apt. much better financially. and the garotas feel much more comfortable and will stay longer the next day if you let them. myself and 2 friends rented an apt on atlantica, near MC, for $66 us per day each. no tax at the end, and no charge for girls each night. the apt was beautiful, and HUGE. our views were nothing but ocean for as far as the eye could see. we invited guys and girls that we befriended at the thermas each night, and turned our apt into a lounge/hangout each night. truly some of the most memorable moments of the trip. some guys we met from london who were staying at the meridian, rented it as soon as we left. e-mail me if you need any rental contacts. i may try to join you all on memorial weekend. would be great to meet you all.

that price was for january. the quote now is $150usd, for 3 bedrooms. thats $50 per person. cheaper than the debret and infinitly more nice.
