Will be in Pattaya Aug 13-17 and BKK Aug 18. Looking forward to hammering Soi 6 daily. Hoping Epi will be around for an amusing time.

So it looks like my trip is finally going to happen after two postponements. Arriving in Bangkok late night on the 11th. If anyone is willing to point me in the right direction drop me a pm. I'll be there until the 29th so I hope to get a few things figured out

Will be in BKK 18th and 19th, and then in Pattaya for a couple of days. One business meeting to pay for it all, anyone wanna meet up to make a long mongering weekend with a newbie. Or perhaps some of you superstars (Epi, Dave, KM et al)might care to point me in the right direction. Like it might be said-'The force strong in me, it is'

PS I wish I was anywhere near Thailand, but unfortunately I'm still here in US slaving away for less and less as the oil companies and GW's war takes more and more of my money every day.
Enjoy ! With a handle like that just follow your nose and you'll be fine.

Can anyone tell me if I screwed up.
1. I am gonna be in Bangkok/Pattaya 18-22 this month, (just 5 more days), is it monsoon season now? Is the scene all screwed up?
2. I´m booked at the Nana hotel, now some friends of mine who have stayed there a few years back say its a dump. I thought I read it had been refurbished. Isn't it?
By Av8tr on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 03:53 am: Edit
I've never stayed there, but it is an institution, and many say that you should stay there just for the experience. There are many slightly better hotel very close for about the same price. I stay at a brand new one called the Majestic Grande. 2900 Baht a night, but it's an amazing place. I wouldn't worry about the weather. regardless you'll have a great time. I'll be in BKK form 17 sept for 2 nights and then Pattaya for 5.

Gents and fellow Mongers, I will be BKK on September 2-13 for my 2nd trip to LOS. I am planning on bouncing around a bit, but will cover BKK and Pattaya for sure. I am considering Phuket as well, depending on the dive conditions at that time. It would be a pleasure to meet up with someone from this board. I have enjoyed so many chats and reports from what I would consider a good group of guys. Maybe one of these days, I will master the art of trip reporting, but it is usually like a train wreck, I only remember the impact.
By Phoenixguy on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 01:51 pm: Edit
Ps, don't sweat it. September is the rainiest month of the year in BKK, averaging about 12-13" of rain. But I'd rather be rained-in with a Thai pooying than stuck here in the states any day.
As for the hotel - it's a good choice for a first visit, as it puts you right across the street from pussy central. And should you decide it's not up to your standards, just find something better after the first night. I'm kind of partial to the Omni Tower just down Soi 4 myself. A bit pricy, but it's more like being in an apartment than a hotel room.
By Khun_mor on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 03:29 pm: Edit
Mr Slug
I am kinda fussy about my hotels , but I stayed at Nana Hotel many times even before it was refurbished. It's rooms are simple but clean and comfortable - before the refurbish. Should be nothing but better now.
The one thing I would hope was fixed is the ancient airconditioning system. Some rooms were sweatboxes- others damn refrigerators- Thermostats in Thailand are generally a cruel joke . Placed on the wall to keep you busy, torture you, and make you think you can really adjust the temperature. Off and on are usually the only useful settings ! LOL
BTW
There was never a problem changing rooms if you complained about the aircon.
By Murasaki on Saturday, August 13, 2005 - 07:18 pm: Edit
Slug-san, there is never a bad month to be in Thailand. Sure, the weather may be better in certain months, but face it, that's not why you're there. All the activities you care about will take place in climate-controlled environments. And given what RavetheDave has been saying about business, sounds like you'll have a wide open field and some eager beavers hopping into your lap.
By Dave_the_rave on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 01:52 am: Edit
Yes guys, low season is here in LOS and that means rain, but it could be raining women too! Most bars (except the elite) are hurting for business so that means more BG's for the mongers, go figure! FYI I am based in ANGEL WITCH (floor 2 Nana Plaza) and I'm happy to meet any CH guys. We will be happy to host you if you take the time to stop by A-W.
By Chicopoppy on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 04:00 am: Edit
Dave (or any other mongers for that matter): My buddy and I have travelled extensively, but never to BKK. Will be there Sept 28--Oct 8. Would like to have a wingman for a day or two. Definitely will make it to AW to meet you Dave. Any current updates?
By Alvjac on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 01:59 pm: Edit
Dave,
I will be in BKK August 31 -September 7. I look forward to coming by and having a beer with you. alv
By Dave_the_rave on Sunday, August 14, 2005 - 10:59 pm: Edit
Great guys, it will be good to see you too. Swing by Angel Witch and sink a few cold ones. ANGEL WITCH UPDATE - A-W has bought the small bar next door (used to be Secrets), and renovation extensions are under way. A-W will gain 20-30 extra seats, plus new male & female rest rooms and new changing rooms. It will be much less crowded around the bar area. We are currently taking on some new Dancers, and the Boss has introduced at least five new shows. The Rainbow bars still dominate Nana Plaza but they are once again infested with Asian customers.

FREE SEX FREE SEX!!! Hey... I need a BLACK GUY!
I need to meet up with a black guy in BKK on about September 17. I will be in TL from Sept 17 to 28. Going to Pattaya as well.
I will be meeting up with some Thai girls and one of them only wants a black guy. She is HOT. This is basiacally free sex. They are not pros. Seeking a black guy 25-35 and pretty slim and at least average to quite good looking.
Let me know if any black guys out there will be in TL around this time.
Thanks,
Peter peter3465@hotmail.com I can send you a photo of the girl I am talking about.

I will be in Bangkok on the night of the 25th of August. Be around Nana to start and staying until the 30th. Anyone interested in meeting up send me a message.

In BKK and Pattaya Oct 17th-25th.
No slummin in AC this time around ;)

DM
I'll be there the same time. I hope I can change my dates .
lol
I tried to get Porker to join us , but it seems he freezes up around really beautiful girls and it ruins his trip. He therefore prefers the sows in AC over the sao saos in Thailand.

I too will be there Oct 17-27. Very first time in LOS. I can use all the help I can get. Just signed up for CH. I am reading all I can to figure things out. I am a little reserved 50 year old guy, average build. Do I have a chance with he babes? Thanks, and anyone that wants to meet, please let me know.

In Bangkok and/or Pattaya? HA! Just look like you have money and you'll have to beat 'em off with a stick.

Just hook up with Don Marco and watch everything he does .
Do exactly the opposite and you'll be fine.
Seriously -- You're of average build? Makes no friggin difference . How is your wallet built ?? If ya got a fat wallet the pooying will be on you like flies on - you know what. Gonna be a bunch of us around in October. I'm sure we'll find each other. I'll be the one with the spinners hangin all over me . You can't miss me.

Seriously, if one wants to experience "hyper" LoS, combine one part KM with one part Epi. I've been trying, but find it nearly impossible-- The pendulum swings in one direction or the other depending on my mood and the girl.
Word of advice-- sure, as long as the baht is flowing, you'll be a hahndsum mahn! BUT it's "up to you" to make sure your getting the service you want tho-- don't let girls dictate or call the shots or your sessions and quality WILL suffer.

Hey, I'm trying to pull of my first mongering trip and I decided it's going to be BKK. I am still trying to figure out whether to go in mid Sept or mid Oct. For those of you who are experienced, please let me know if one is better than the other. Also, I'd like to be there when there are more people from this site around. The more wisdom I can tap the better!
By Khun_mor on Saturday, August 27, 2005 - 09:30 pm: Edit
Bizboytx
Still raining fairly heavily in September. Not totally bad because there are fewer guys there to compete with, but the sometimes daily downpours can be disruptive. October November much better weather wise. Bunch of us including myself will be there in mid October.

I will be LOS from 10\17 to 10\28. Complete newbie here. My motto for this trip is, the spirit is willing, and so's the flesh.
I could use some tips\guides to help with the debauchery factor. If anyone is going to be in these locations at this time and want to get together, inbox me.
I am spliting my time up with 8 days pattaya, and 4 Bkk. Any thoughts on this (bag Bkk and spend all time in Pattaya, or reverse?)
By Bizboytx on Sunday, August 28, 2005 - 01:24 am: Edit
KM,
Are there places to stay that you know of that are nice with large covered balconies? I actually would prefer the rainy season, but I do wonder if the selection thins out as well.
I noticed a lot of people talk about making it a point to go to Pattaya, would I be missing out if I spent 7 nights in Bangkok and didn't venture to Pattaya? Is it true that the women are more beautiful and plentiful?
By Don Marco on Sunday, August 28, 2005 - 11:37 am: Edit
Stoker-- you've got some great folks in town that can be bribed...
Take a good look around you and say farewell. You won't look at life or the things around you the same once you go on this trip...
By Khun_mor on Sunday, August 28, 2005 - 10:24 pm: Edit
Bizboy
The selection remains the same in rainy season. No one goes home for the rainy season. It's worse in Isaan. It's the competition that goes down. You can likely get girls to go for lower prices than in a higher volume season.
I know of no hotels with large balconies in BKK. Why would you want to sit in steaming hot filthy air for any period of time ?? There are balconies in Pattaya as the weather is a tad bit cooler (92 vs 94) and the air is definitely more breathable.
One week is not a long time in LOS. It will fly by like a few hours. You may want to wait and split your trip or go to Pattaya on a return visit- which I'm certain will occur. BKK vs Pattaya is a matter of some small debate around these parts. Each has it's supporters. You gotta experience both eventually and make up your own mind. I'm still a BKK guy , but definitely still enjoy Pattaya in small doses.
By Urbanyeti on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 12:41 am: Edit
KM,
Changed my username, it's bizboy. I live in Texas, 92-94 is every day here. I think that I'm going to come in Oct when there are more mongerers around to lead the way. If I were to extend my trip, how many days would you say minimum for each city?
By Valterreekian on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 01:14 pm: Edit
It looks like I will be in BKK from around Oct. 11th till the 22nd. Still working out the ticket as I want to upgrade to Business and that limits my flight options unless I want to tack on extra legs.
DonMarco. I would love to meet you and buy you dinner.
Khun_Mor, same applies to you.
Somewhere in this trip, Bahtman and I are looking at taking a 3 or 4 day hop over to Cambodia, if anyone wants to see what it looks like. We will do a one day hop down to Ankor Wat from Phnom Phen.
By Khun_mor on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 01:36 pm: Edit
Urbanbizboy
Forever would be a decent minimum. Seriously- pull as much time as you can . I find 5-6 days in each location an absolute minimum. A week is much more comfortable. I am Sancho would disagree obviously.
Val
Would be great to meet you - as well as Bahtman. I am intrigued by the Cambo side trip. Looks like there will be quite a few of us in Thailand this trip. Should be a hell of an adventure.
DM and I are cheap dinner guests - buy us some decent street food and you're out only 40-50 baht .
By I_am_sancho on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 01:56 pm: Edit
I actually subscribe to the KM philosophy "pull as much time as you can". It's just that, if 56 hours is as much time as I can pull at a particular moment, I'm not going to let that fact stop me. I'd LOVE to spend months and years and decades in Asia. It's just contrary to me having any money so for now I'm stuck to weekend trips. Better one weekend a month than two weeks once a year.
By Valterreekian on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 04:57 pm: Edit
KM...SOLD! A 40 baht meal for you, it is, LOL
Of course DM will probably not be such a push over
Actually, if you have not been there (YOU probably have KM), I was thinking we would go to Via Vai. I love that place!
I am now booked. I arrive late the night of the 10th of October and leave very late the night of the 20th!
KM and DM, what dates will the two of you be in BKK? I know DM is also doing Pattaya.
By Goceltics on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 07:28 pm: Edit
Stoker
IMHO, go to Pattaya first as it is easier to navigate and the options for entertainment are unlimited. BKK is a great finish to a trip and you can budget much better for BKK while in Pattaya.
KM,DM, and VAL...you guys are making it tempting especially talking Cambo. Since Epi won't be around I'm seeking an opportunity to go to Cambo with an experienced monger(s). Will be in Beijing in early Oct but I can be in Thailand Oct. 16-29
By Don Marco on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 08:01 pm: Edit
Val--
40 baht is about all is takes to send my taste buds into heaven. So 100 baht and you got both km and I covered
I don't have an itin etched in stone and arrive in bkk and play it by ear. To be honest, I'm looking just to relax and chill with some friends... and girls... I don't really care if that's in bkk, pattaya, or cambo.
KM--
I'm heading out to your neck of the woods next week for a few days-- you up for a little HTF (hint, H=holly*)? Wouldn't mind doing a little pre-trip planning over some good food

Only 5 more days till utter bliss. If any one is planning on being in BKK this weekend, let me know. It would be great to meet up with a few of the lads. On to Pattaya afterwards, after that, who knows.
By Khun_mor on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 10:12 pm: Edit
Val
I do not eat in restaurants in Thailand generally except Pattaya where it is damn difficult to find decent street food vendors. One reason I prefer BKK- good food everywhere you go . Therefore I had never even heard of Via whatever let alone ate there. Likely I'd get food poisoning in a real restaurant !! lol
Like DM I rarely plan dates during a trip. Depends on how I fell about whatever is happening at the time. Right now I have the whole trip booked in BKK but I can up and leave anytime. If you have definite dates let me know.
DM
I think we would want Ben to actually meet us. If you call him I'm sure he will just assume you're not coming and stay home.
I'll PM ya about next week - glad it's not this week. I got 12 nights in a row on call- both my partners deserted me for Labor Day vavcations. I am free after labor day for a couple of days at least.
By Urbanyeti on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 10:49 pm: Edit
So when is the majority of mongerers from this board going to be in BKK? I checked the calendar, seems most of the people here haven't posted their trips. I'd like to try to be there when the available mongering wisdom is at it's peak.

"I do not eat in restaurants in Thailand generally except Pattaya where it is damn difficult to find decent street food vendors."
Agree 100%, BUT I finally stumbled onto a very good food stall in pattaya. Don't ask me quite where tho, I need to stumble around a bit again to find it. Down walking street a bit, bang a left and it's on the left. They got 2-3 tables in their alleyway/stret and 40b buys plenty of spice ;)

DM
I think I know the place you're referring to.
If I remember correctly it's on the soi that old Nui's with your ex squeeze was on chai mai ? I have eaten there and agree it's about as good as Pattaya is gonna get. After that it's farang food and you might as well be eating in AC.
By Don Marco on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 - 07:32 pm: Edit
I think it was before nui's soi. Goldfingers massage was my landmark. I went on a few dates with a FOB massage girl there and we went there several times. I thought the soi was across from goldfingers, or just before it, but my memory is hazy... Could be nui's soi... It was the first time I had good street food in pattaya tho.
OHHHH-- I never deemed Nui's girl a "squeeze." Hell she didn't even retain my interest once I hit Batam... One of those cases of temporary insanity.

Sounds like Sep/Oct is going to be very interesting. LOS will receive quite a lot of CH guys and the LOS BG's need some good lovin' right now! The rain has been on and off not too heavy but distinct lack of Westerners around the LOS bars in both BKK & PATTAYA. Only the elite LOS bars are doing brisk trade, so that means more available BG's per horny hombre!
By Bahtman on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 - 10:37 am: Edit
Time to head out to LOS again for all the right reasons. Ill be there the month of October. Thinking BKK nid noy then Pattaya with a side trip to Cambo for good measure. Four people have contacted me about the side trip to Cambo. Ill lock in on the dates once I arrive. IMHO if you want to meet and travel with fellow mongers invest in a thai cell phone. It'll take sims from every country. It makes everything effortless and enjoyable.
