Picked up my ticket this morning. Flying through Dubai arrive BKK 6.30am morning of the 3rd Feb. Heading straight down to Pattaya, I have heard good things about the Lek Hotel, will book in there over the week end see what happens from there. Planning on staying in Pattaya until the 12th Feb and then heading to BKK until the morning of the 16th. Heading to Dubai for two days and then home to ZA to plan my next trip.

I am looking forward to meeting some CH members and seeing if you guys can live up (or down) to your rep. Please feel free to email me if your in town.

Does the Sandy Spring have room fines? I take it if you stay there it is very Monger friendly:-) I took a look at the website and it seems a step up from Lek and the rates are cheaper BHT 1500 for a deluxe compared to BHT 1800.00 at Lek but I see on your loast trip report you stayed at the Bella Villa Prima and seemed to have a good time why don't you recommend it?

I do! It's even better than Sandy Spring , and I am staying there in March again. You asked about Sandy Spriong not Bella Vista Prima.I was only answering your question.

Both are very guest friendly. The first time I stayed at SS the security guard even went out to 7-11 to buy my barfine a toothbrush !!

Isawal, I echo my Papa (Khun Mor) on his recommendation of the Bella Villa Prima. It's quiet, comfy, close to the mall and girl friendly!

I was taking a quick read through my postings so far I have over a dozen hotels have been recommended in Pattaya Including Lek, Bella Villa Prima, Sandy Spring, Sunshine Inn, MTC Pattaya, The Haven Hotel, Eastiny Place, Flipper Lodge, Apex Hotel and The Dynasty Inn to name a few. Most have good websites and excellent reviews making my choice even more difficult but it is good to know there such a fine selection of quality Mongering Hotels in Pattaya at descent prices.

I guess some of you might wonder why I am so concerned about the hotel, the story is fit for Jaguar. On my first trip I have a trusted Monger buddy in ZA that had been to Pattaya before me, and I asked his recommendation on a Hotel and he recommended the Flamingo unreservedly and after visiting the website and phoning the hotel I made a booking, the owner said if I made a five day booking and paid in advance they would upgrade me and my two Mongering companions to suites, so I did. Those of you who know the Flamingo must already be laughing your uncaring heads off. For those of you who don’t know the full name (not on the website) is the Pink Flamingo and it is a flaming gay hotel with French and German fags running from room to room with there little Thai boys near BoyzTown. I am still living the experience down and no one knows were the body of my trusted Monger buddy is buried. On my second trip I stayed at the Penthouse I would recommend that every Monger who travels to Pattaya stays there once for a day or two, but once is enough.

I've Stayed at the Sandy Spring about 6 times now, luv it. It's a newer hotel with sea views and nice suites(huge rooms). Very guest freindly, and great location. Just up the street from the TQ

I highly recommend. There is a cute lil desk clerk named Lucky that I was trying to get upstairs my whole trip. Very smart and great looking pooying. Seeing her every day alone made the stay worth while. I might have had a better shot at her if I didn't walk out with a different girl - or two - each morning. hehe

KM, I'll be back in LOS 3 - 11 Feb on business (which means I'll be getting paid PER DIEM to monger!) Will you be around, Mom told me to track you down...

Opps did anyone know that the week end of 8 -13 Feb 2006 is Chinese New Year? how does that effect mongering in Pattaya? Been in Hongkong over chinease new year and it was not fun being pelted with fireworks and most places where closed with lots of street parties.

Chinese New Year is pretty much a non event in Thailand . Some fireworks - esp in Pattaya but no bar closures and no pooying stampede for home. The go gos may use it as an excuse to hike barfines one or two nights.

Had a less then pleasant experience with the Sandy Spring hotel they cancel my booking, received the strangest email and I couldn’t get much information when I phoned, “So sorry fully booked” Her English went down hill from there. No problem sent an email to Bella Vista Prima hopefully they will have room, Asked for a one bedroom suite but I guess I will have to talk to the receptionist if I’m not happy…her name is Lucky, right Khun mor?

I will be in BKK from the 12th Feb staying at the Nana. Can't wait.

Every thing is done, booked carved in stone and confirmed arrive BBK 6.25 in the morning of the 3rd transfer Pattaya arrive about 10am Booked into the Bella Villa Prima were I hope to stay in monger heaven until the 12th when I transfer to BKK. I will be staying at the Nana until early on the 16th then I transfer through Dubai on my way home to ZA. Now that everything is organized what the fuck do I do for the next 15 days 5 hours and 7 minutes?

I think after you monger in any place a while your expectations change which to me means you gotta
work harder to find a girl that does it for ya and that’s especially true for me
this first trip of 2006. Met this sweetheart in Soi 7 bier garden. Could tell right away she was going to be "D"licious.
1000 baht ST and she loved the camera.
She did not have a cell phone so I gave her my number and she calls me everyday to find out what time I want to “take her”.
Met up with Epi at the end of his trip and had a monger summit on “the state of the union” in SEA. Pattaya is still the
gold mine of talent in LOS and Cambo is the number one side trip after getting your
SEAlegs. Pete1 just PM the room number and well try to hook up or better yet grab you a cheap cell phone, you’ll be glad you did……

I will be in Bangkok early morning of the the 13th. I plan on staying in Bangkok for a few days but also want to hit Samui before I leave on the 22nd. First trip to Thailand and cant wait to compare to Buenos Aires of last year. Anyway, I would like to meet up with some fellow ch members for some beer and women. I have to agree 100% with Khun mor, as the Bella Villa was very nice! If you take a look at my Thailand trip report from Nov 05, I posted a few pictures of their Junior Suites. Very nice!

I leave BKK early the morning of the 16th. You have made the right choice, last trip I went to BKK first and then onto Pattaya, I will never do that again, Pattaya is the place to be, and 3 or 4 days in BKK is more then enough.

Isawal, it's a matter of horses for courses. Most of my friends say the opposite, after a few days of crazy partying in Pattaya they are happy to return to the sanity and civilization of Bangkok. Pattaya is a wild party town, but remember that is ALL it is. Welcome to the Wild West!

Don’t get me wrong I love BKK, I guess the smog, noise and congestion gets to me after 4 or 5 days. I also like to tag it onto the end of my trip as I do most of my shopping in BKK and this way I don’t have to lug my purchases around with me. I look forward to meeting you at the Angel Witch.

Isawal, it will be good to meet you, I look forward to it. I like the way you have organised your trip, so you finish off in Bangkok. This is a great tip about doing your shopping last as you end your trip in the capital. I shall include this in my "Thai Tips" section. Another great attraction of Bangkok is that it is a shoppers paradise. Like you I believe both Pattaya and Bangkok have a lot to offer.
