2 more days till i leave for Thailand, i can't wait. I am going to be in Pattaya from the 3rd to 9th February and hope to meet up with a few of you. I am going to take bahtman's advice and try to get a thai sim card and i will post my number. Anyone interested in meeting up for some beer & pussy get in touch.

Also will be in Bangkok from 23rd to 27th February and would like to meet someone who know's there way around, although i am staying at Nana hotel so from what i have read i should find my way around some bars / girls.

If your planning on going for long walks or spending quality time outdoors it's a terrible time. On the other hand most of what the majority of us do is indoors so there is no bad time.
Seriously it will be hot and the beginning of the rainy season but not yet at it's height.
The good news is that he weather in the bars. soapies, and hotel rooms is about the same all year round.

Low season for mongers -- less competition. Go for it !

Coolq2001 The best time to go is every chance you get for as long as you can..... bring lots of casual cloths and one pair of pants for the nicer discos and you’re all good. Ill be there all of April. Sounds like it will be exciting with the social order campaign taking a brief holiday because of all the political turmoil, the bars will be rocking. No holes barred. So does that mean that you can't do many outdoor activities around late August, early September time? I was looking forward to doing some sightseeing in Bangkok/Pattaya aside from the usual .... what do you call it... mongering. I can take the heat since I live in the desert. Are all the bars and girls happening even during the rainy season? Also, i'm 23 and this is gonna be my first time going over there but I can't convince any of my buddies to go with me, pussies. How bad or good is it taking the trip solo?

A few more questions, hope you guys don't mind. From reading trip reports I see most people stay at the Dynasty Inn hotel in both Bangkok and Pattaya. Pattaya has a Dynasty resort and a Dynasty inn, are they the same thing? Also, do you need to get reservations prior to your trip or can you easily show up and get a room?

Hey Coolg...

The Dynasty Inn and the Dynasty resort in Pattaya are NOT the same place. You want the Inn. If you are staying at the Dynasty Inn in BKK, you can get a free shuttle to the DI in Pattaya with a minimum 3 night stay. I would get reservations for both. Also, for the DI in BKK, insist on getting a room in the "New" wing. They may be unwilling to gaurantee it (unless your Epi and practically live there), but try anyway.

The action is year around. During the busy season, there will be more girls, but the asking prices will be higher too. The reverse applies during the slower season.

Don't worry about traveling alone. It is perfectly safe in BKK and Pattaya as long as you use common sense (don't wear a solid gold rolex and walk around flashing a wad of cash etc.)

Pfhughes and Bigpoppa I will also be in Pattaya from approx 5-21 thru 5-29 and would enjoy seeing some sites with fellow mongers. My maiden trip to BKK and Pattaya were in Dec 05 and I flew solo the whole time except for three + days with a LBFM (little brown fuckin machine). I stayed at the Sunshine Inn on soi 8 and may again as I liked the beer bar scene there.
I'm mid 50's with much experiance in Mexico and Costa Rica and would to see much more of Thailand.

I would change the reservation-- they suck. And KM, ya they usually require some type pf prepayment.

Yeah - I meant prepay voucher style for the whole stay. I bailed after one night . I had just left the usual credit card deposit so the fact I showed up cleared me of any penalty.

I guess there are guys who like this place. I hope Khun Pfhughes is one of those.

Again, KM, as is pointed out every time you rip that place, when was the last time you personally stayed there?

I've been in there as of last November '05 and it sucks just the same as when I was a guest in 2002.

Pork, rather than sit on the fence and suggest the info is not accurate/current, how bout you waste your cash there for a stay and report back how much it sucks....
