I just wanted to say I just went to Sao Paulo and had a blast. The people were great the shopping malls were nice and taxi drivers were all very good honest working people. Everyone there was always willing to help me even if they could not speak english they gave a hard try and usually was able to get me the messsage and vice versa. The clubs were good. Bahama was a little over rated but I enjoyed it. I really liked Kilt and can not wait to return to Sao Paulo. Love story was a good late night club after 0400 hours. They close at 0500 hours and all the girls from the surrounding clubs go there to party late. I really digged the club Kilt. I Got to know the door man and once I got to know him he was a great guy. Average cost at Kilt was about 100R to get out the door. The average fee for fun was 200R +20-30 for taxi. The taxi to Kilt from the Grand Mecure Hotel was 14R from Kilt back to hotel was 30R. I left with a girl every night for eight nights. All in all I can not wait to go back. If you visit SP you have to try a Brazilian BBQ eating place. The food in Sao Paulo was great no matter where I ate. For pure mongering SP is a great place. The girls seem not to be very professional just young ladies trying to make a buck. Most of the girls have been dumped by there boy friends, leaving them with a kid. None of the girls ever tried to scam me steal from me or ask me for more money than agreed on. All were outstanding and tried to please you every step of the way. None of the girls tried to leave early or get out of work. Remember, talk to people and get to know them and you will find most people are good people, at least that is what I found in SP. Well thats all for now. Any questions please ask.

Guys help me out. I am looking for a couple of ideas for Hotels to stay at in Sao Paulo. I want one close to Club Kiltz. I want one with nice rooms and showers and is guest friendly. My last trip I stayed at the Mecure Grand it was great but a little far from the clubs around Kiltz. The rooms had a big walk in shower and the rate was about 220R. Thanks for any suggestions

I know that a lot of guys gather up around 2PM weekdays at Alcazar to begin termas runs to the metro termas (4X4, 65, Cancun, etc) as they open up earlier than the Copa termas.

This is also the restaurant that Don and Ken start out at.

LOL, The reason that most guys meet up at Alcazar is because most started out with Don at one time or another and that is Don and Ken's Checkpoint Charlie fort Terma runs especially when they have a lot of customers in town at the same time.

Anybody up for getting a group up for soccer match at Maracana Stadium? My first trip, but I hear Sundays are dead anyhow and this could be a suitable break. I have no info on it though. Must be cheap as I saw a tour company adverting hotel pickup at any Rio hotel and drop off including tickets for $36 US. Maybe a bar meet-up and a taxi caravan?
Can anyone find time of game and give an idea of when meet-up would need to happen in order to get there?
If any of you Vets or loacals know a good way to navigate this, please drop your suggestion in thread. Do these sell out or safe with walk-up tickets?
