Has anyone stayed at the Dynasty in BKK lately i requested a room in the bldg. in the rear but was told that the rooms in the main bldg. have been redone just wondering because on my first trip there thats where they put me and the rooms were kind of rundown looking as compared with my partners room in the rear bldg.

Not sure Kw, but the last time I was there, the entire front building was being hammered. The lobby, dining area and everything I could see was being renovated. I am not sure about the rooms, but it seems likey given the scope of work they underwent.

Superfly, My third annual trip to Bangkok will be from Nov 13 to Nov dep Nov 26. Love to meet you or anyone else in BK.

Just to warn you that Thailand is still suffering some heavy rainfall. Parts of Bangkok and Pattaya can suffer flooding. So, it's best to be prepared for the monsoon rains. Hopefully the monsoons will stop by the beginning of November. Apart from that everything is OK.

I was there for almost two weeks Sept/Oct and had only one night of light rain.

Now last year the water on 2nd road was two feet deep in places after one downpour.

RG, we are getting some very heavy rainfall in Bangkok, but it is sporadic. However, it is better to be prepared just in case. I really hope it rains itself out and November becomes the start of the dry period. With November being the beginning of high season in Thailand, this is an important issue. I agree, this year has been better than last year in terms of rainfall.

malibu52, be prepared to pay 1000 bht onwards prices for barfines at premium gogo bars.even the bar girls also almost try to go for short time only. i have never seen such vast difference in prices and service as between march and week of new year.

I'll probably try Myanmar for part of the trip.
