Headed down for New Year's.

I'll be arriving Dec. 29, returning Jan. 7. I'm always happy to meet up with newbies to show them the ropes as others have shown me.

I expect to spend most of my time with the Park Hotel girls (though I'll be staying at the Presidente), and plan to take a few of them out to celebrate New Year's Eve. If anyone has any ideas for good places to go for New Year's, let me know.

Another buddy (I'll let him post his trip plans himself) and I plan to take three of the Park Hotel chicas out to Jaco Jan. 2 for three nights.

FEB 28 THROUGH MAR 5. No doubt I will see the Park show either Fri or Sat.

Last time I was there, walked into Idem twice without even sitting down for a beer, something about it made me feel uneasy, not this time. I am there, uneasy or not. I have read far too much good about this place, not to at least play one time. I must make Artes, Bogarts, and some of the other places. I will have my map in pocket. Key Largo is on the menu, and of course the Blue Marlin. I plan on playing some poker with CostaRicardo and finally meet him. Funny thing is that we probably live within 20 miles of each other and finally meet 1500 miles from home. I am sure that my main man nononsense will be invading the Park Hotel and I will be right along with him. Maybe myself and some of my fellow Presidente customers can 'party' up in the jacuzzi area, that would be neat.

SIGH.............if only the Green/Blue Door was still open.......................

I am making my second Foray into the land of Milk and Honeys Feb 26 - Mar 5. Staying at the Morazon. I look forward buying a few you a couple rounds of Imperials with all my poker winnings (if you believe that, then you have never seen me play poker.) Since the Poker Tournament starts at 7:00pm each night, you can probably find me at the BM by 8:00 crying in my beer about not folding them damn pocket Jacks or some such nonsense.

I am arriving in San Jose on the morning of the March 6th and staying at the Presidente for 2 nights. I will then be going to Playa Hermosa for some scuba diving and hopefully some mongering. I am looking to plan a trip for around Apr. 24 through Apr. 30 or early May. What is the best way to plan the trip? Plan a vacation package or just get a flight and wing it? I can't do walking tour I want to do a SEX tour. It will be my first trip so, I don't want waste time trying to figure out where to go. Can anyone help? It would be great to meet Mongers who want to explore.

That's what DG means by "walking tour." From what I've heard, you'll find no better guide.

If you want to keep things as simple as possible than make a reservation at the Hotel Del Rey and you'll never have to leave.

Given your singularity of purpose, there's no reason to consider a package. Make a flight and hotel reservation, and you're set.

But like most hobbies, the more you get into it the more you get into it. For most hobbyists I think figuring out where to go isn't so much a burden as the very joy of the thing. Soon you might even get into figuring out how to say those words that seem like just sounds but which turn out to make the central act that much more interesting.

Will be in CR from 4/26 to 5/3. First day or
two in San Jose and last day or two in San Jose.
Don Gordo, will look for you on your first night
there, which will be my last night. A "walking
tour" with Don Gordo is an excellent way to
see places in San Jose that the average
"romance tourist" does not normally get to see.
There was one stop on the tour that even myself and TampaGringo had not been to or heard of-I was afraid to sit down or touch anything in the place, but you get the idea. LOL He is a great guy and a good guide. Lunch at the Gran Hotel with him is a good deal also. Notice who all the little kids hit up for candy, etc. That's classy DG. Hope to see you there.

I will be in San Jose, CR from June 8 to June 12. I haven't decided where to stay yet, but I'm considering Hotel Gran Via. I'm a 47 years old Latino.
