I leave for Cartagena on March 30th. We will be there for 1 week. I will be using colombiarental.net and stay at edificio marinare.

What is the recommended budget considering (1) day and (1) night LDV girls?

Taboojw, if it's your first trip, LDV may be worth a peek, but many gals there are mercenary and will ask for $70-$100 bucks ST. Lots of eye candy but so-so service I've found. The freelancers and casas gals are $30-$40, and will often stay with you longer (2-4 hrs) and provide better service. If you hit if off with the gals,they'll stay with you LT.

IMO, for regalos (gifts) the gals seem to like trinkets for their cellphones, Tequila, sun-visors, slender American cigarettes (capri), and breachfront Condominiums :0

Friday is the start of the Semana Santa holiday.

There is a little tienda that serves food on the first floor of Marinare. Just sit there and have a bite. If you just stop and let them come to you, its amazing how successful you can be.

Yeah, Tabooj, you're going at a good time when there will be lots of gals looking for spending money. Brush up on your spanish, and don't take "no" for a response. In addition to Tienda mentioned above, just walk around that area and you'll get propositioned by taxi-drivers, touts, doormen, etc.

The casas really don't get going 'till late, even LDV doesn't get interesting until after 11pm or so. Casa Rosios had a good number of gals as of a week ago.

I'm looking to take a trip to Columbia is there anyone on this board that would allow me to tag along for a couple days or for part of their trip. I only speak English and have never been so I'm a bit hesitant on just going alone. I'm 30 years old so if I could find some people around my age that would be ideal but not completely necessary at all.

Completely open I have not chosen a city but seeing I'm 30 and in good shape I figured Cali maybe a good choice. Any thoughts as to what would be a good place for an in shape 30 year old white guy to go to ? As far as a date goes anytime from late may until whenever it is open as I have about 4 weeks of vacation saved up

I would not do Cali for my first trip. I would do either Cartagena (higher cost but a lot of English there) or Medellin (most beautiful girls and cheaper but not a lot of English).

Are you into Pay for Play only or Non Pros?

In Medellin, I only do non-pros now. There will be 5 of us starting May 23rd and leaving about June 6th. We are all in our 30's and early 40's, have been on extended trips to Medellin quite a few times (I have been there 6 times in the past year). But we only do Pay for Play if we have no luck at the local clubs first.

We don't stay at the Mansion since it spooks our non-pro girlfriends, we spend most of our time either on "dates" or securing "dates" for the evening.

I have lived in Colombia for the last 4 years. Cali spooked me. MDE can be dangerous if you don't know it well or have expert guidance. Try CTG first.

Nah, Medellin is harmless. Stick to the places posted and you'll be fine.

I go every other month for the past year and I have never had a problem.

Kuk, I still own an apartment in Laguito, but I have moved to Medellin for my primary residence.

Sniper, MDE is NOT harmless. A friend of mine who owns a house near Parque Lleras was kidnapped by a taxista coming in from Rio Negro Airport in Jan. of last year. I can relate many other stories. But a rookie coming here can get his nuts handed to him especially if he comes thinking that MDE is very safe.

I have been coming here for 3 years, and nothing has ever happened to me. That, however, does not make it harmless. My 40-year-old Paisa novia does not think that it is harmless nor does any other Paisa with whom I have spoken.

Use the resource on the board and you will be fine. While I can appreciate that there is an element of danger, I don't think it is as bad as you say.

I know 1 person that has been robbed and I know a lot of people in Medellin. If you are concerned about it, use a known taxi driver like Hector (formally of the Mansion) or another of those posted here.

We have a contingency going on May 29th through June 6th. We are into the non-pro scene so you'd need to keep the mongering quiet because the non-pros know that many guys go to Medellin to Monger.

We might go to Loutron or some other place during the day once or twice but we are getting pretty good results with locals.

I have a dilemma. I booked my ticket in hast before i secured my accomodations. I will be in MDE 8/28 - 9/3 (last minute decision after reading a few MDE reports).

Based on the Hombre threads it seems the Mansion or El Castillo is the place to stay. UNFORTUNATELY, they are both booked for my travel dates. PLEASE HELP, I am a very active monger and was looking forward to the Mansion activity. Any suggestions on comparable accommodations in MDE?

Also, any other Hombre members in MDE those dates?

ROLL CALL!!! Just reserved my airfare and will be in Medellin From Sept 27th thru Oct 8th. I am bringing two friends this time. Ages are as followed one 25 yr old and two 31 yr olds. Age does not matter but you must be mature and not a leach to hang out with the big boys (US), feel free to drop me a PM or message so we can hook up over there. We do nightclubs and if we do not get lucky we then hit pros. guys, the shit has hit the fan. i was at abydos, and the place was a little heated up, because pictures of one of the girls there was on the net. not sure if here at CH. The girl that i was with told me that they are thinking in searching people for cameras and other recording devices. The madam wasnt to happy about the pic, because you can hear what they were saying.
