I am at the Del Rey now, it is kind of a shop worn hotel in the public areas compared to the Presidente the rooms are about the same for the cheaper rooms there is a 10.00 girl fee' I like it for the sheer conveniece of it all'just down the elevator and there the chicas await

Hi folks:

This is my first post on CH. I've been to a few countries in Asia, Europe and South America over the last 10 years and will be making my first trip to Costa Rica on July 14.

Got a little frustrated trying to cash in my Northwest miles for a Russia trip, so decided on Costa Rica. Will go to SJ with a friend and maybe hit Quepos beach for a couple days.

My question: Is the Costa Rica action slower during these very hot months? Thanx in advance for any input.

I am at the Presidente now until May 23

I will be arriving in SJ around 1pm in the afternoon on July 1st for (7) nights. I am planning on staying at the Hotel Presidente. During my off time, I will try to attend a Spanish language school to practice my Spanish. Anybody know which of the many schools is best one. I have looked at the boards on this subject, and so far IPEE, and ILISA look like they would both be very good. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

This is my first trip to CR, and I would enjoy hanging out with other mongers who may be visiting at the same time. Just got back from Thailand and Monterrey, Mexico... I had a blast!!! First time traveler to Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya), but I travel regularly on business to Monterrey. I Can't wait to sample CR now.

I'll be staying at the Hotel Del Rey the whole time (13th through 17th). Seemed the best place for my first trip to CR. When will you be in San Jose? I'm going to take some day trips and play tourist then play a little at night.

Will be at the Del Rey the night of the 14th. Latest I heard from my buddy is he's having trouble closing on his house sale in California and he might have to beg off, so there's a chance I'll be there solo. I'll be making a trip to the beach, probably Jaco, and probably sampling a couple different hotels in SJ. We should trade info.

I am always looking for buddies for barhopping and activities in CR. I a 44 year old caucasian and very athletic. Have been to CR many times. I am in Tampa Florida so San Jose is a direct flight for me on MartinAir. My schedule is flexible.

I'm a newbie, just joined CH, and am headin for SJO either for Feb 10-13 or Mar 3-6. Any other mongers planing a trip during either of these dates? If not I m going solo and staying at the Del Rey. I don t speak any spanish and I want one Tica for a GFE and I want her to set up 1 or 2 more for each day or night. Anybody got any advice on the best way to set this up? Most appreciated.

I'm going to be visiting Jaco beach May 4 to 9th and would appreciate any advice on some ladie guest friendly accomodations.
I'm considering saying at the Los Suenos Marriot near Jaco and Herradura for 3 days. Can anybody comment if this place is girl friendly?
I'm also going to be in SJ too so any punters there at the same time let me know so we can hookup for a beer and prowl.
