Here is my suggestion in regards to the trip reports.
Sometimes I read a great trip report filled with pictures and long detailed summaries where it appears a lot of effort was used to author the report. Then, at the end of trip report, I see the same guys fighting, flaming and hijacking the report. This colorful commentary usually ruins the trip report and makes for bad memories.
If it took you a few hours to write a good trip report and then you come back later to find some guys flaming away at the bottom using profanity, would you write another trip report in the future? I see some guys now just uploading pictures to the multimedia section versus writing a full report.
My suggestion is to cut the trip reports into two seperate sections. Lock the trip report into one section and then place the commentary in a different section where the audience doesnt have to read it if they so choose. This can be done by placing a link at the end of the trip report or simply placing it in a different folder.
