Various Cascadas propaganda clearly state that rooms have A/C. That has not been my experience, but I have not asked anyone about it. The weather has been quite cool lately, so it hasn't mattered, but with all Zona buildings ventilation is a major problem and A/C would be a very welcome amenity.

How much are the rooms at Cascadas?I've heard they also have jacuzzi rooms.Could anyone describe?
Thanks
By Taxibob on Sunday, October 15, 2000 - 09:19 am: Edit |
DZONA
Regular rooms are $28.Jacuzzi rooms are $65.pretty decent and roomy by zona standards if everything is working.A loveseat of sorts for some positional variety and some have a working lockable refrigerator now.AVOID the jacuzzi room on floor 2.Besides the obvious extra noisiness.the ceiling above has been wet and the rugs they put on the floor stay wet so the room reeks from mold.If floor # 2 is the only jacuzzi room available i suggest you opt for a regular room.

They have them from floor 2 up.Everything working can change day by day there but i like floors 4,5,6 where the club music noise doesn't come into play as much. There is still plenty of noise from loud and possibly tweeking chicas especially the first couple of hours after closing time.I'll just never pay up to be stuck on floor 2 again.

Redongdo,
I've read that Cascadas has two entrances, one next to LC and the other in the alley. I was wondering which one you used, and if you used the alley entrance, wouldn't it dangerous at night?

Rock,
Yeah, I might throw up on them!
Billy,
Don't worry about either entrance/exit, personally I think all the concern about danger in the alley is a little overblown. I tend to register at the desk in the alley entrance as it's the main one. I pop into my room from time to time throughout the night to change my socks (!), re-organize my cash (if I've just been stuffing my change into my pocket and not sure how much I have) or as one RS poster put it "visit the porcelain". Oh and of course to spend time with an amiga. I exit depending on which club I want to check out and enter depending on which club I've finished checking out.
I would recommend walking in the street in the alley, the SG's are tempting to play with but a buddy of mine had his gold chain taken off his neck and he didn't know which SG did it since he hugged a number of them. Some guy named Lakers did mention he saw a mugging in broad daylight in the alley once, in my personal experience I've seen just as many fights on Coahuila as I have in the alley and think you should exercise the same amount of caution on either one.
OK, this just came to mind...I would register via the alley entrance if you're lugging any kind of luggage as there is an elevator there and you may not want to walk up a couple of flights of stairs to get to your room.

I agree that Cascadas is better than the AB hotel, but still a dirtwhole. I spent 2 nights there and found the rooms very smelly (that intense roach-kill smell), the water unreliable to say the best. I like to shoer with the chica and if I can't even rely on hot water...
Found myself with a cute SG, willing to get a good wash by the dirty uncle from US, standing in the damn shower with cold water. Not even the most willing chica wants "romance" in 50 degree water!
Further more the place can be very loud (depends on the room) and the service is VERY bad. One time the stupid towel boy come while I was humping my chica and would not leave until tipped. "Interrupio coitus" I like the Nelson much better.
By Strikeeagle on Monday, October 16, 2000 - 07:47 pm: Edit |
Cascadas tip on Hot water. Just leave the sink running a little bit with ONLY the hot water running. Doesn't have to be a gushing stream, but should be more than a drip.
It's worked every time for me.

The problem with Cascadas is that there seems to be a "feud" between them and Adelitas.
This past weekend I tried to pay the doorman at Adelitas $10 and take la senorita to Hotel Cascadas. The doorman was adamant. No Hotel Cascadas! Why? Does anybody know?
By Robertx on Tuesday, October 17, 2000 - 08:22 am: Edit |
Yes, because the Adelitas Team are assholes. AB is so greedy they don't want the $10 for the room slip away. About 1 month ago they started allowing chicas to go to Cascadas. Probably many more mongers did it than they expected. Considering the shitwhole they call a hotel that is no surprise to me. I haven't found away around it, unless you are willing to do your chica after she's done with her shift at AB.
By Redongdo on Tuesday, October 17, 2000 - 09:26 am: Edit |
Many of the night girls don't seem to know about the anti-Cascadas sentiment. At least the day girls seem more aware, probably because Augie the manager tends to be around more during the day. But a couple of weeks ago I got it straight from "The Man" Augie..."no girls from Adelitas go to the Cascadas" and I don't believe as Robertx says it's because of the ten bucks. Number one, you still give the club a ten dollar bar fine if you don't use their hotel and number two, Augie suggested I take the chica I had to Parador if I wanted to use a different hotel.

RickFeliz,
It's about competition.
There are rumors that AB and CC are forming an alliance to combat the MASSIVE expenditures that the owners of LC, TB, LT, Miami and their associated hotels (including Cascadas) are pouring into La Zona. (Just look at all the money being spent on A/C at Cascadas, redoing RO, doubling the size of Miami and LC, buying the new club location next to LT to build the 'new' HK. Think all this money is coming from profits at those bars and hotels??)
Used to be that if a chica worked at either AB or CC she could not work at the other. The penalty was being fired by one, and possibly both clubs. Now, as we all know, chicas often work both clubs. Some are even working days at AB and nights at CC. The managers at both clubs know it, and it's no longer an issue. However, I've been told by several chicas that the same tolerance dose NOT apply to Miami, LC or La Tropa. (Tropical is considered a 'break in joint' well beneath a 'vet' chica)
This may also explain the meeting that I witnessed in CC between the night manager of CC and the night manager of AB. As I reported on RS some weeks ago, these two gents met in CC for about 15 minutes before heading to the back room at CC and then going their separate ways. At the time, I was really surprised by this meeting. But, the more I learn about the fight against the 'syndicate' that owns the other main clubs, the less I see this meeting as unusual. I know that there has been a LOT of fighting over the old MR location. Recently I heard that the 'syndicate' had closed the purchase, but I've not been able to confirm this. (anyone know for sure???)
I use the word 'syndicate' and based on other rumors in la zona, this title may fit. (you figure out what I mean by that)

Strikeeagle: The AB+CC management has to provide quality service. I can't really feel bad for them and really don't care where LC/TB/HC get their money from. They have the nicer hotels, AB/CC have the nicer chicas. So I want to fuck my nice and clean chica in a nice and clean hotel. The AB hotel is an amazing ahithole of a hotel. The coaches in this place must outnumber the people 1000:1.

Robertx,
You may not care where the money comes from, but you NEED to understand the possibility that exists from it.
People who trade in lives (illegals) and controled substances (take your pick) are not often adverse to 'taking out' businesses operated by thier competitors. This is not being alarmist, and I'm not suggesting that someone is going to shoot up Miami next week. But, just as it was a good idea to know that you were eating at Al Capone's favorite eatery in the 1920s and 30s, it's good to know who is building our playground.
More information is never a bad thing, so long as it's the truth.
I totally agree with you about the hotels for AB and CC being dumps. But, the reality is that eventually they will be forced to improve things as las chicas and clients move to follow the quality. Imagine if several of las chicas suddenly went back to Miami, or to LC, because they could work in a new club and a nice hotel. If they made it known to even a few of their gringo clients that they were going to make the move in, say a week, don't you think that a bunch of the clients would follow to check things out???
It will happen, and things will improve.
Like I said, it's all about competition.

I witnessed something very interesting the other week: 3 very cute very young chicas from Miani/HC walked up to CC and began talking to some gringo mongers hanging out in front. The mongers (amatuers ) were very interested and I saw 2 of them actually follow the girls. The doorman of CC was obviously not ammused.

Brothers,
Have you all still been having trouble taking AB chicas to your room at Cascadas? This is a MAJOR consideration in my deliberation over where to stay for the Thanksgiving weekend FUCK-TIL-YOU-DROP Brother Ritmo festival. Thanks for your help, my brothers.
By Redongdo on Thursday, November 16, 2000 - 07:55 pm: Edit |
Brother Ritmo,
OK saw all your posts about the hotels. First off I don't think you'd have any problem getting a room at Cascadas during the week, but Fri and Sat can be rough and I've called them earlier in the day to make a reservation. Now as to their phone numbers...this is interesting! On their keychain (of which I am the proud owner of one) they list two phone numbers, 685-41-22 and 688-20-30. On their business card (which I am also the proud owner of one) they list (6) 668-20-30-voice and (6)638-42-63-fax. For the life of me I can't remember which one I called. You can also e-mail them (according to the biz card, I've never tried it) at cascadas@telnor.net.
The bad news, it seems the AB management no longer allows AB girls to go to Cascadas. I got this from Augie so I believe that's about as official as it can get. The solution? Get a room all night at Cascadas for 28 bucks a night AND a room all night at Hotel Coahuila for 22 bucks a night. I feel the Cascadas is a little more secure and I like the idea they let you have a key for your room (ten buck deposit, get it back when you leave). At Cascadas I'd recommend trying for a room on the 4th or 5th floor.
Now if you want to do a CC girl, or Tropical (I understand they no longer go to the Cascadas either) you gotta cough up more!

I think exceptions are the rule in TJ! Was it OK'd by Augie? Did your chica actually tell the doorguy you were headed to Cascadas?
Not all of the girls seem aware of the feelings of AB management...the last thing I'd want to do is get some amiga in trouble for going to the Cascadas with me.

If a chica WANTS to do ANYTHING, believe me, she can find a way to get it done. Avoiding the barfine, ducking out of work early, going to an offsite hotel, WHATEVER. There is a backdoor out of Hotel Coahuila into the alley they can use if they don't want to be seen going to Cascadas.
Also, If YOU are willing to pay the barfine, there is no reason why it shouldn't be possible to arrange liberating a chica from the bar.

Porker,
Sure they're good at clandistine stuff, but if the AB management doesn't want something to happen and they find out about it...why risk bringing heat down on your amiga?
And it seems only the Cascadas AB management objects to, if you recall I mentioned Augie suggested Parador the last time I tried to barfine the chica. It's just politics.
By Porker on Saturday, November 18, 2000 - 11:50 am: Edit |
Bad blood in the Zona! I LIKE it! Maybe we should all tell every AB person we can find about the great rooms at Cascadas w/ TV and porno, and dumbwaiters and phones and A/C, or more importantly now, HEAT (little fibs never hurt anybody). Think they'd go for all these upgrades? They'd probly jack the price up to 20 bucks a session, though, so maybe it's better the way it is now?
BTW, I haven't seen Augie around lately -- maybe the Miami Kong cartel took him out? The MC guy w/ the cheesy facial hair seems to be more or less running things in the daytime?

One of the AB girls told me that she would be fired for using the Cascadas, 3 out of 4 sessions I use the Parador, daytime is 330 pesos,4 hours limit. It's nice,8.00 cab ride from the bars though. I wish there was something similar that was closer and just as inexpensive, also a place that wouldn't hassle about the girl.At the Parador the chica never gets out of the cab, there is no lobby,so you don't see other customers and they don't see us,it's gotta be comfortable for the Chica,me I don't give a shit who sees us.I'm proud of the beautiful women on my arm but I don't want her embarrassed for any reason. I had one tell me once she was sorry she wasn't better dressed for leaving the bar,I said" not to worry,no one will see you where we are going." She was relieved when we got there and saw the arrangement.

Spent last Friday and Saurday night (2/2,2/3) at Cascadas. Got there by 6:30 PM and grabbed the last room they had. It was in the old part of the hotel (rm #31). Was not impressed. Yes, there was a lot of noice from the bars, but I got to bed well after the bars closed. I have several complaints:
1). No hot water (tried morning, noon, and night).
2). Cockroaches, but we aggreed that if they stayed in the bathroom I wouldn't kill them. They broke their promise and I had to kill several that were crawling by the bed.
3). The sheets were filthy. I called down for a fresh set and got another just as bad.
4). The toilet kept clogging up and I wasn't even leaving any logs. After the third trip down to reception they gave me the plunger.
5). Zero ventilation but at least the rotating fan on the wall worked.
6). Everyday I would hear someone wiggle at the door knob - I figure someone was looking for unlocked rooms, needless to say, I didn't leave the room for long.
7). They tried to keep my $10.00 key deposit - insisting it was customary to give it to the cleaning boy (which BTW didn't clean shit). I took it back and insisted that I left a nice propina in the room - I left about 15 pesos.
There were a couple of nice things about Cascadas that need mentioning - Decent free XXX movies and free unlimited condoms! ... prog

Haven't stayed there on a weekend. On weekdays I've always been able to get a 5'th floor room that has (with one exception) been clean. Never had the hassel with the key deposit.
I think the first floor rooms are the quickie set-ups, maybe that was the problem.
By Matiz on Sunday, February 04, 2001 - 10:12 pm: Edit |
Agreed, Minuteman. During the week I've never had a problem getting a clean room and no problems with the key deposit. Overall quality varies a bit from room to room, some without a good shower head, others without light bulbs in all fixtures, etc. But nothing that can't be handled.
A couple of wintertime suggestions: bring ear plugs, your own sheets/towels, and a heating pad. The earplugs keep out all the ambient local noise, and there's a lot. The clean sheets give you peace of mind when your napping. And the heating pad keeps you comfy on these chilly winter nights. I sleep like a baby and these three simple items have improved my stays at Cascadas by at least 100%.

Just a note about the rooms in the older section by the alley, these are part of the former Hotel Miami, which was assimilated by the Cascadas some time ago. The rooms are sub-par, and are right on top of the bar, which means you get lots of noise all night long.
These rooms can be identified by their 2 digit room numbers.

It's been a while since I posted about this hotel. My first experience was not as enjoyable as I would have like. I did stay there a couple weekends back and got into the 4th floor. In all fairness I felt obligated to post again to say that the service and room quality was 100% better. Still had problems getting enough hot water but the bedroom, bathroom, and sheets were reasonably clean. There wasn't a rotating fan (like you'd find in the 2-digit rooms) but the temp was cool enough that it didn't really matter. A lot less noise. There was also a phone in the room - which turned out to be a nice little hiding place to stash my extra cash, although I'm sure a thief would probably look there first. The staff was also very vigilant on who came into the hotel. They told another guest that he couldn't bring a TV (shemale) into the hotel. I guess they were trying to set some sort of hooker standard? Overall - I enjoyed it very much. I'm heading down there today... fuck the RAIN!

Stayed there this last Saturday. Got there around 3:30 PM and there were many rooms available so I got a room on the 5th floor. After putting my backpack in the closet and my bag of shampoo, soap, etc. by the sink, then set out to do some partying. When I returned around 12:00 AM my bag was missing. I talked to the nightshift mgr about it and he told me to see the dayshift mgr. Sunday morning I see the dayshift mgr and after several minutes we figured out that a cleaning guy came into the room around 8:00 PM and thought the room was vacant. He dropped the stuff off at the street-side reception desk. They returned my stuff, apologized, and gave me my $28.00 back. I got the room "on-the-house"... I'm liking this hotel more every time I stay there!... prog
