GREAT idea Daytimer! And, Thank YOU, TJHombre for making the effort to host such unique content.

This is a Super beginning to a fantastic idea.

How about posting tips and tricks for authoring the RA files? I'm sure a lot of the guys would be willing to record some of the sounds from various places around the world. It'd be kinda cool to have some of the unique sounds from our different destinations available to us at home. Think about being able to 'relive' a few moments of background from your favorite 'hot spot'.

What say you, Hombres??

Question for Daytimer et al: what do the muggers usually do to make you unconscious? Do they choke you? Do they punch/kick you as well?

I would love to see (hear) more audio on this board. I will try to contribute if I can. I think a good idea might be to bring a small, electronic sound recorder (the kind that are replacing tape recorders for the purpose of dictation, etc) - and record sounds from bars, barkers, conversations w/ street gals - the possibilities are ENDLESS!! That would be a lot of fun...

To answer MRBill's question about the muggers, they applied a police choke hold. They cut the blood supply to my brain, and I was out like a light in seconds.

How to make RA files: When I started making the streaming audio files I was able to get the program for free from http://www.sonicmail.com/
But like so many things on the Net, the program now costs $14.95. You can download a trial version to evaluate it for a month.

I was hot on Sonic Mail at the time because it was free and easy to use. The cost of the program may slow the enthusiasm down. Maybe someone knows about a method of making streaming audio that is free. I would be interested in hearing about it.

This is how I make the files. I record the audio on a standard micro-cassette recorder as well as a digital voice recorder. I have found the standard recorder works best because of the ease of using it. It is difficult to be pushing buttons on a digital recorder that is in a pocket. It is impossible to tell if the digital recorder is recording or not unless you can see it. The electonic buttons make it impossible to know what mode the recorder is in. The standard recorder is easy to use because I can push the record button and know for sure by the position of the button if it is on. I use the digital recorder when recording things when I don't want to be concealed and I use it at home to add segments to Sonic Mail messages that I am piecing together.

After I have my recordings I send the audio using the Sonic Mail program. There is a pause on the program that allows me to edit.

I send the file to myself by way of e-mail. I use a patch cord from the earphone jack of the recorder to the mic jack of the computer.

The e-mail message gives me the link to my audio file. I then open the file that is on the Sonic Mail website and save it on my hard drive. At that point I name the file.

The audio files are then attached to e-mail and sent to tjhombre.

So you get the idea now there is a "process" involved getting the files made and sent. For the audio idea to work well it will have to be much more simple than what it is now or very few posters will participate. There needs to be technology that allows people to just click, record, and send to this site. Otherwise the audio idea will never be anything more than a novelty that only a few will ever use.

My suggestion for this thread, is "puta Spanish." A little download-your-own X-rated Berlitz course. You get my drift ...

The audio files go under the same category as pictures. There is a privacy issue.

So we have to be very careful what is on the audio files. I am interested in getting some interviews, but I will not do that without the permission from the participants.

There is potiential with the audio files, but caution is necessary.

Book guy....I think your idea is a good one. I am not qualified to teach Spanish, otherwise I would put together a series of audio files to teach Monger Spanish. That would be interesting.

I speak muy poco Espanol, but I see from that, how important it can be to speak the language, especially with the street girls. The club girls respond very well to someone trying to speak and learn Spanish also.

I have Real Player also, and was unable to generate any sound. I know Real Player (Free) works because I get sound in video downloads. And what the heck are those .RXX video clips that wont play?

I haven't had any problems, which version of Real Player are you guys on? I've got Version 8 basic, which is their freebie.

Are you double clicking on the file you downloaded then choosing the program you want to use to open it? If so try this.

*Bring up Real Player first
*Go to the pull down menu under "File" and go to "Open File"
*Make sure you don't go to "Open Location" it's an easy mistake that I make every now and again.
*You'll probably have to change "Files of Type"
to "all files" if you have it on "all media files"(the default) you won't see the sound clips cuz it's something called an "unk" file...I'm not familiar with that extension.
*When you find it, just double click and you should hear Daytimer expounding on his chosen topic.

Redongdo....Thanks for the tips on playing the files. This problem has come up in the past and I have not known what to say.

The first files are on the conservative side of things. There are a couple of more that TJhombre will be posting soon.

I plan on expanding the audio files in the future. The plan is to get some interviews with various people in La Zona Norte. I am hoping some of the chicas will give their permission for an interview.

I have gotten some good audio files of girls without their knowledge for private use. I would not dare post those files here. Not that they said anything bad, but it could be a problem as far as the privacy issue. I would prefer to be above board with the files on a site such as this that is open to the world.

Regarding problems playing the files here is what I did. The file was downloading with the RA suffix but was opening with Windows Media which could not play it. I checked under View, File Types and found that this particular download suffix was associated with WM while all the other RA files were correctly associated with RA. I clicked the Edit button and compared the contents to the other RA files. Not being a computer geek I had to play around with the different lines to fill in but it wasn't hard. Hope this works.

I question your advice about offering a bribe to the cops. If they roundabout hit you up, "you can pay the fine now", then you have that as an option but I would let the cops initiate the opportunity to bribe your way out.

Redongdo..... You are right. The police seem to be insulted if you bring up the bribe first. It is best to let them do the talking at first. Then you can talk about the fine and ask if it is OK to pay the cop directly. The cops seem to like that idea. It sounds like the cops are being nice guys by saving you the trouble of paying the judge.

Redongdo....We all give detailed written descriptions of the girls and report what they say and report on the sex acts. How is that any different? Do we get permission from the girls before we post a report? Tell me how many times you asked a girl if it was OK for you to post her name and details about her?

The audio thing is something new to this site so some readers are going to be critical. But think about it, how is audio any different than me posting what the mystery girl said and then saying who she is? You would not have said anything if I had posted words instead of audio.

The next file to be posted is an interview that was done with the full knowledge of the person. Let me make a friendly bet and say I bet you will be very critical of the interview for some reason or another.

One other thing Redongdo, did all the girls who have pictures on this site now through the subscription service give their permission? I know one popular girl who has her picture on this site who would not want it here if she knew. She told me she absolutely does not want any pictures posted, but talking about her is fine.

I don't hear you cying about the picture thing on this site. So why pick on the audio thing?

Daytimer I'm sure the critical ones will be a very miniscule minority. For every complainer, there are hundreds that appreciate your contributions. Not all will post compliments publicly by the way, people have emailed me to tell me they've enjoyed the audio files you've contributed. I think this last one was the best, too.

As an interesting side note, of the major world sex/travel sites (TSM,WSA,and ClubHombre) ClubHombre is the only one I'm aware of that has a vocal "prostitute rights" crowd.

Bigbadblkwolf....You can be sure it will be a negative response.

BTW Redongdo, you are wrong about me drinking to much scotch....to much beer maybe. In fact, I am heading for the frig now for another.

Redongdo, my post was not in the list cryptic and Daytimer has already explained, but... "She "put herself out there" means (for those who need a map drawn)...

Anyone who puts her ass out on the street or in a bar for sale is to some degree in the public eye and is going to be talked about and written about.. The audio conversation is not even about her and does not reveal anything compared to what has already been posted about her...

I wouldn't want to be reading or hearing a lot of stories about my fav, but I'd love to have an audio track of her... Thing is, these chicas are "dealing" with the public, call it retail or "holeSale", they cannot remain totaly private...

Maybe we are all exploiting them if we are clientes, or when we post (boast) about them.. For the most part (especially now) I think they welcome the exposure...

I'll be the first one to admit that I personally believe that each of these girls has the right to a personal life. I've written about this more than once, so it's no secret.

When it comes to the posting of pictures, the ability of una chica to have this private life is placed at GREAT risk. Thus, the need for the level of protection that TJH has built into this site is a Wonderful idea, as it serves to protect the ability of la chica to have her personal life. The possibility of someone stumbling into a photo file is almost nil.

However, an audio file, which contains no personally identifiable information, is something totally different from a photo. I don't see any way that the 'mystery girl' file compromises the anonymity of la chica. IMHO the criticisms of the audio files are unwarranted.

As a final thought, TJH mentioned that this is the only community that seems to have a " vocal 'prostitute rights' crowd". I humbly beg to disagree. Two of the most popular SEA focused boards are run by gents who are quite vocal about the rights of working girls to have personal lives. As such, photos are only allowed in protected areas, just as they are here at Club Hombre. The audio file concept has not been broken elsewhere, so there is no basis to compare.

Latin America brings forth some unique issues as to 'working girl' IDs. Most of these girls have families that are totally unaware of the fact that la chica is working as a hooker. There are cultural reasons why this is the case more so in LA as opposed to SEA, Europe or elsewhere. We can get into a discussion on this issue, but that is best left to another thread.

Two things:

1) I think it would be almost impossible to ID a chica based on the sound of her voice, especially if you don't know her name or where she works. Personally, every Spanish-speaking Latina sounds alike to me...

2) Daytimer - RealAudio is a pain in the ass. Why not consider MP3 files? You can use a low sampling rate and the files would be very small in size. Just my .02p.

MrBill.....I agree that a voice makes ID'ing someone very difficult. How many of you guys will recognize me and say that is Daytimer if you saw me in TJ and never met me before? If I gave you a very detailed description then you might be able to ID me.

My real intent is to find girls who want to be interviewed and will consent to being taped. That would take care of all of the criticisms expect the fact I drink too much scotch. haha

The MP3 idea is a good one. I have not done anything with MP3 so I am ignorant about it. I only know it exists, but I don't know how to convert the files to it. MP3 might be the way to go in the future, especially for others who want to post audio files.

I don't want me to be the only one posting audio. I started the thing going, but I hope others join in eventually. MP3 might be the ticket for others. I agree that RA files are a pain. TJhombre has worked out a way for posters to upload audio files. It sounds like a great idea, but I had technical problems and am waiting for instructions on what stupid thing I did wrong. When things are worked out, maybe others will start posting MP3 or other types of audio files. That could be a fun addition to this site.

Just think how interesting the flaming wars will be in audio. haha

MrBill....I am glad you liked the audio files. As far as talking to myself in the clubs, it is easy. Any of you guys who see a monger who looks like he is talking on a cell phone in the clubs and on the streets, that is me. I have a digital voice recorder that looks like a cell phone. No one pays me any attention at all.

I thought the Marco interview was interesting. He is a character for sure. Instead of being repulsed by the characters of La Zona Norte I find them to be fasinating.

I have recorded the the good stuff in the room with some girls. I recorded Mahogany when she made some small talk with me, then fucked me. That was an unbelievable recording. If there was criticism about a cute little conversation with a cute girl being posted, then can you imagine the flac I would get with the Mahagany recording?

I understand the problems with recording people without their permission, so I left that Mahagony recording out of the postings. When you look at things from that prospective, you can see why I was surprised someone would object to a mystery girl being recorded. MY GOD!! The potential of this audio thing is way beyond what anyone could handle.

My main goal was accomplished this week when I recorded a working girl WITH her permission. In fact, she was extremely eager to be recorded. I wonder how many other girls want to be recorded and get on the Internet? With the business down for some of the girls, I would bet many would love the publicity on the Internet.

TJHombre.....I DO care about criticism. I think we should all reflect on things when someone is upset and critical.

I am not saying I should quit posting because of critism, but I do think that Red's concerns have validity. I also care about doing what is right for the girls. I do not think an anonymous recording is bad, but I am willing to consider someone's concerns.

Yeah, you should take a camera with you and see what you can get away with. Many of the girls are sensitive to the picture idea though.

Video is in the future for this site as you can imagine. The technology is here, it is just a matter of doing it. It would be easy to conceal a camera, but that would create problems in the long run. If you were ever caught in a club with a video camera you would lose it. I wonder how many girls would allow video to be posted on the Internet? Probably not many.

So for now the audio files seem to be a good inbetween technology that is not resented by most.

I have recorded a couple of sessions, but they were really not that interesting to listen to. A video, however, would be a whole different story.
