I went here twice over the last days. None of the girls I saw looked underaged. The problem was that even on a friday night they had too few chicas and the ones they had were not good. In general I prefer the whores at TB or Miami these days. The strippers here are whacked, you can find more normal whores at the other clubs. El Pollo is only worthwhile, if you need to look at a floorshow all the time.

Yes, I have to agree about Pollo. It sucks. I stopped in there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights based on what I had read on the boards, and all I saw were average chicas at best.
They only had about 4-5 girls in the whole place each night and many of them have tattoos & or fat butts.
On Friday night, I thought about going upstairs with one girl even though she had a fat ass, but when I asked her she told me she can't because her boyfriend was in the club watching her! So even though this chick at the pollo bar is 'gay', she will still be attracted to 'girls', yet her 'work' will primarly be with guys regardless of her sexual status. It happens more often than you will ever realize.

I went to Pollo Bar for the first time last night (Saturday) at 11pm. I was very surprised what I saw. I expected a typical dive bar. Instead it was newly remodeled with very nice carpet. The waiters were all wearing white shirts. There are three big screen TV's. The waiters seemed nice and did not over push the drinks. There was a strip show going on and the three girls I saw dance were hot. Two of them were as hot as can be (in my opinion). They were young, slender, and beautiful. All in all, it was a good experience and worth checking out again.

Pollo is definitely no dive...much like an American stripclub with all the surface glitz. All the girls (which is sometimes a very small number) are dancers. The strip show is continuous except for the fact that the dancers take a break between each song in their set...I never could figure that out. Probably just to kill time since the dancer rotation can be very short. But it's a dumb m.o. because it can kill the erotic momentum.

I would appreciate a more extensive report. I haven't been to TJ in about a month and would like to know how things are in this place. thx.

Diego....I am surprised to hear the carpet is three years old. It looked pretty clean and unworn for that length of time. As far as being tacky is concerned, it is for American standards, but I compare only to TJ standards when I am there. Compared to many of the little bars in La Zona Norte, Pollo looks pretty good.
