These are the classic symptoms of the initial infection. In most people it would be a very noticeable period of flu like illness and would pinpoint the timetable of events which may be useful information.

As others have said, it is true that these days treatments are good and can often suppress the virus indefinitely. Sure there is not a cure for HIV but with current treatments there is a good chance of preventing an HIV infection from ever developing into AIDS.

There are a lot of things that seem suspicious about Grunto's story and want to explain. No one really knows the truth on what happened except the parties involved. What troubles me is how everyone seems to accept Grunto's story as fact. This is troubling.

Anyway, I want to cover a few suspicious things here. Grunto talks about the house he purchased in both names and said: "I GAVE IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER RATHER THAN HAVE HER PROFIT FROM IT!!!" That really makes no sense. When I read that red flags were immediatly raised. Real Estate transactions simply dont happen like that in Mexico. I have retained Mexican legal counsel because I am interested in purchasing property in Mexico. My attorney works for a downtown San Diego law firm and is licensed in Mexico as well. How could Grunto3 "give it back to the original owner" without the other partie's consent? This is utter nonsense! I have several other questions regarding taxation, title, etc that Grunto3 probably could not answer, but I will save that for another discussion

Posting this appears to me as someone is trying to get the maximum drama affect. Since this person has just got out of a very ugly relationship, it appears to me that he is trying to really smear the other party. I anticipated a positive test result because of the way the first question was phrased.
Didn't the "sexually active" time frame, and "sin condom" with Citlali raise red flags with anyone? The narrow focus of this question, IMO, is designed to make Citlai the only culprit. Again, red flags. What if Grunto3 was sexually active with other people during this same time? What if he acquired HIV before Citlali? What if this is just a ploy to destroy this girl's business and reputation? What if he doesn't have HIV? Again, why is everyone accepting his story as fact.

I am not taking Citlali's side. It wouldn't surprise me if this girl was evil and trying to take advantage of Grunto3. I simply dont know, and wasn't there. Why would Grunt test positive and she test negative? If we assume the above fact pattern is true, wouldn't the virus have been in Citlali longer than Grunt? It seems logical that she would be more likely positive than Grunt since she has been exposed longer. I am not saying the above fact pattern is impossible just unlikely. Something doesn't add up.

As much as I too doubt Grunt's "story", she may well test positive and still pass it along. Hell, she may not actually have it at all (infected, that is) but can still pass it along.
