I have spent a fair amount of time in La Valentina, and I definitely get the impression that only about half the girls go to the room.

If there is a hotel attached to the bar (i.e. with the same owners), then most of the chicas go up.

I have spent a lot of time in this place as well and my success rate, in terms of going to a hotel, are about 20% or less. I do enjoy drinking and dancing at this place though. I have been trying to get a girl named Diana to the hotel for a few months with no sucess. Dollars are not the answer.

Paying $6.50 X 5 drinks is alot of money for entertainment but to each his own. I always ask durning the first drink. Many Valentia chicas ask for $60 but will come down to $40. Don't over pay these broads! LOL

Since Valentina is under the same ownership as AB I would guess Hotel Coahuila is the preferred hotel, just use the alley entrance. However I have heard girls here are more likely to go to Cascadas.

As long as you're having a good time, good for you. But there ain't many virgins working at Las Chavelas, much less the 90% you're alleging. And $50-70 plus 30 bucks in pony beers is quite excessive for the vast majority of the 'talent' in that bar. If you don't pay them to go to the room, how do you know how much it costs? Hope you're not falling for the Explorer trick and taking THEIR word for it?

Sometimes when I click on "Last Day", things come out a little scrambled, as far as posts appearing to be under a different topic than they really are. Maybe that happened to Porker.

I don't know if I would say that the vast majority at La Valentina do not go up, but I would say it is very possible that less than half do. I do think that there are more night girls here who will go up than day girls. I know of a couple of girls who came here from other clubs because they no longer wanted to have sex for money. Also, it seems like it is easier to get the girls here to go to your place after their shift, than to do the quick session during work. They may not want their friends to know what they are doing.

On a related note, I heard than chica drinks went up to $7 here very recently. True?

When I was there Sunday, chica drinks were indeed at the $7 level. Yes, the price was on the high side and its something I wouldnt do again unless I went with someone who was more familiar with the place than I was, but it was fun. i dont go to adelitas or chicago becuase i do not go to the zona to get laid but to have a good time - such as dancing and making out with chicas in the booth.

Some interesting notes about La Valentina...

My girlfriend worked there for a few months about 4 years ago, when we were first getting acquanted... and, no, she did not "go up"(at least I never caught her!). She was VERY good at working the customers for drinks, and would make about 70-90 fichas(dollars) a 12-hour day - just on drinks alone(she mainly drank Orange Juice). She had this attitude that she was just a "psychologist", helping the customers work thru their problems.

La Valentina is attached to Adelita Bar via a accessway thru "the backdoors". It does share the same hotel as AB, but uses a different entrance and rooms. It used to be(up until about 3 years ago) that when AB closed at 3-4am, everyone would be directed to leave by way of the back door, THROUGH La Valentina - in the hopes that they would get more business(there must have been some municipal ordinance against AB staying open later). Eventually, they just ended up expanding AB to the East(bought out some shithole business there), and putting up a temporary barrier just to the West of the "East" bar, and redirected everyone over there - they called it "Premier Bar", and the front doors were only open AFTER 3am! Finally, the Municipal authorities must have gotten sick of these "shenanigans", and just let AB stay open the same amount of time as all the other bars.

5 chica drinks huh? Does that mean I sit with you and we tell the mesero that you're the chica and you get the fichas? Just kidding.

I do think it would be a challenge, so I don't know if I'd put money on it. I'd have to think about it. What times do you usually go? Thursdays and Sundays are good, but maybe not for a while as I've just secured my tickets to CR leaving in 9 days.

First off, Milkman, if you're having fun doing what you do in TJ, BY ALL MEANS do it 'til you get blisters. But where I start having a problem is when you tell people some tall tales based on stuff you admit you don't have firsthand knowledge of.

As far as your 'challenge' goes, I am a bit torn. As I keep saying over and over and over again, whoremongering is not a competitive sport, and I am very loathe to treat it as such. Anyway, I walk into La Valentina two weeks ago for the first time just to say he to some fellow hombres. I was only there for a few minutes but I really like the atmosphere of this club. Inside it appears to be one of the nicest clubs in the Zona.
I like going into smaller clubs to relax with a beer and take in the culture. I'm surprised I haven't walked into this place before.

Went in here recently and was amazed at the low cost of drinks. A beer or mixed drink cost $1.60 . A good place to go for cheap drinks.

Ahh, a blast from the past re: 'flamewars'. I think ALL here involved would agree that if you're looking to get laid and get bangforthebuck that you'd avoid La Valentina and move on to 'greener' pastures, to coin a phrase. Try Chavelas or Tropical. You'll either find younger girls, more innocent girls, or CHEAPER girls, or in the TJ mongers' trifecta ALL 3!!!

Valentinas is a good place to take get cheap drinks and bored out of your mind. Sunday night the place was about a third full of guys. Only 1 chica there.

It is also a good place to take a dump (clean men's room) in an emergency.

I took my friends here on Saturday and now I know why this place stays in business. The place was packed and everyone was out on the dance floor. They played all kinds of music, including some of the latest English dance hits. There were some real young lookers here. My buddies and I were dancing, drinking and having a good time. A bucket of beers was $15 and shots of Hornitos, Cuervo Gold, or Cazadores tequila were $3 a shot. The layout looks nice and the bathrooms were clean. Another added plus is that they employ a large number of female waitresses (which means that they are more trustworthy to me. I avoid male waiters like the plague.) I don't think I saw a male waiter in the joint. Highly recommended for a change of pace on a Saturday night.

Dropped by here on Wednesday, 03-24-04, because the other places were packed or dead. Not as crowded as Friday or Saturday night, but there were some good looking chicks dancing. I took advantage of the cheap booze prices ($1.60 for beer or hard liquor) and relaxed for a bit watching the dancing on the pista. They continue to employ mostly female waitresses in this bar and that is an added plus for me (because they are less likely to rip you off.) I don't think I saw a male waiter in the place. Recommended if you want to get a cheap buzz on before hitting the main clubs.

i finally went in there last wed night.. the place was pretty dead, about 4 dancers, and maybe 5 customers.. however, there was this hot new chica, emie, that is how its spelled , total flacita morena, about 4'11, 90 pounds , beautiful dark skin.. took her upstairs, for $60 for one hour and room fee included.. total gfe, showered everything..

A year later I write, I've known an Emie in other bars that fits that description. Can be a very sweet girl but also has a reputation as a thief. Watch your wallet, watch, phone, etc.
