I'm a big fan of soapy massages so I've been to most of the massage parlors in Bangkok. My favorite is Cupidy located on Nikom-Makkasan Road. IMHO, it had the best selection of girls, i.e., younger and prettier than those found at other massage parlors. It's clean and modern with comfortable chairs to sit, relax, observe, and call out to interview the right girl from the "fish bowl." If you don't see anything you like, there are two other large massage parlors nearby, but without the comfortable chairs. For the best selection of girls, go between the hours of 1800 and 2200 hrs.

If you're staying in the Sukhumvit area, you're going to have to take a taxi there. To avoid the added taxi "surcharge" on the massage, ask the taxidriver to take you to the Prince Hotel at 1537/1 New Petchburi Road. Go inside the hotel, pickup a business card with the hotel's address (for future use in telling the taxidriver where to go), use the toilet, and then walk back outside the hotel and turn left. Within a few steps, you'll be entering the side entrance of Cupidy.

The house charge is 1,800 baht (as of March 2000) plus tipping the girl. If you take a taxi there, you'll probably end up paying another 800+ baht.

One thing about these places, sometimes you pick the right girl and hit a homerun; sometimes you pick the wrong girl. In both cases, you will at least score a run. I recommend you spend some time selecting the right girl - call her out, buy her a drink and see if there's any chemistry before committing. Don't let your "little" head make a quick pick. As in the real world, sometimes the prettiest girl isn't the best.

My vote is with Yujin, I've done a bunch of soapys and my favorite is Cupidy's, no sign in English and it's set back off the road a bit so not that easy to find. Alternate to going to the Prince Hotel is tell the driver to take you to Bangkok Hospital, when he makes the left hand turn off Nikom-Makkasan Road tell him to stop at the 7-11 right on the corner. Cupidy is across the street.

I paid 1500 baht in June, (eat your heart out Yujin). Me jai dee, girls like too mut, want go hotel me for nothing.

I've visited Cupidy with Asians and Farangs and we all ended up paying the same price. When I went there last May, the host told me the price was 3,000 Baht (no taxi surcharge/kickback!). I balked. He then dropped the price to 2,000 Baht. I countered with 1,800 Baht. He said "NO." I said "O.k., I go next door." He immediately agreed to 1,800 Baht. Next time, I'm going to ask for the Frozin1 special price of 1,500 Baht.

Remember, it pays to know the going rate before entering any massage parlor. It makes negotiating with the "house" much easier. It's like buying a car. If you're willing to overpay or pay the first or second asking price, the "house" is willing to accept regardless of race or culture. As I was leaving, I met an Aussie who was waiting for his buddy. He asked me how much I had paid. After I told him, he embarassly told me that he and his buddy paid 4,000 Baht each. They came in a taxi so I told him that they had to pay the taxi kickback. I think he felt better about overpaying.

I had a conversation with a massage parlor street hustler who spoke remarkably good English on Sukhumvit. When I told him that I had already been at Cupidy, he asked me how much I had paid. I said 1,800 Baht and he complimented me on getting such a good price. Who knows what he would have said to Frozin1 about him only paying 1,500 Baht.

The one thing about Cupidy that can be a negative is that the hosts are pretty pushy about you selecting a girl as quickly as possible. Just smile and take your time, but don't select a girl without establishing a price with the "house." Once you've selected a girl, the "house" has you by the short-hair and they know you'll pay whatever they ask.

1500 bhat would be excellent. When I've been in these places I just always offer 2000 and say "don't bother me I'm eating". Eye candy that is.

Last night, I returned back to Cupidy after more than a year. A recognized a few familiar faces behind the fishbowl, but no one who I had selected before.

The hostess Ming Ming greeted me and a couple of friends. The price quoted was the same as on my previous trips - 1,800 baht.

My two friends quickly made their selections. They selected girls with big tits. I had a more difficult time in making a selection. Ming Ming recommended a certain girl. I normally don't take recommendations from the host/hostess, but the one she recommeded was pretty with an engaging smile.

I must admit that Ming Ming's recommedation was the best that I ever had in all my other trips to Thailand. This gal was on a mission to please me! It was an ultimate GFE with DFK and everything else that you can imagine. It was pretty comparable to my experience at the Eden Club. After I cummed the first time, she went back to massaging my private to get it to stand at attention again. She then put another condom on me and asked me to do it again without me asking. That was a first for me at a soapy massage parlor.

In comparing notes with my buddies, they complained that they got duds. They selected young gals who were 20 years old. My gal was 27 years old. From my experience, the older gals give much better service. That's why I tend to select gals who are at least 25 years or older.

One other side note: During my most recent visit to Cupidy, the host/hostess were quoting a price of 2,500 baht to everyone that walked through the door. Just balk at that price and offer to pay 1,800 baht. If they refuse to accept 1,800 baht, get up and leave. I guarantee that they will accept the 1,800 baht before you walk out. If you came in a taxi, that's a different story.

If Ming-Ming wore make-up and dressed up, I think she would be an absolute doll. I did see one guy offer her a considerable amount of money, but she refused and jokingly said she was a "lesbian." When he heard that, he offered her even more money, but she again refused. Who knows, perhaps it was the guy that was asking.

When I went back a second time, I didn't even sit down to look around and consider someone else. I wanted her and no one else which was highly unusual for me since I always try something new. I had no regret in picking her again.

The girls there were quite beautiful and pleasant. The place soes not allow any Arabs or indians in. Probabaly because of hygein. But it has a pool table a bar and a dance club. So it is quite fun.

I was there in March and paid 2000 baths for two hours. Nice fish bowl. Had a great session. The rooms can use a face lift but are well equipted. Bathtub large enough to float while the girl's legs slips under you and your little head is between her breast. Small TV playing porno in front of the bed.

Prices for asian people or falangs are the same : no covercharges : standard price between 1500 to 2000 bahts, it s depends if the girl is superstar or not
but on the right near the bar, there are other girls, much more beautiful, but they just think about money, they always smile to you, they hope you want to pick one of them : amazing price of 4000 bahts

Status Report as of 03/17/2003:

I made a return visit to Cupidy since my last visit in 2002. Instead of taking a taxi, I walked down there from NEP and entered through the entry by the Prince Hotel. There's a security guard there at the Cupidy back entrance, but he's only there to control vehicle traffic. I then walked to the front entrance.

After sunset, it isn't too bad of a walk from NEP to Cupidy. It sure is quicker than by taxi.

Luckily, Ming-Ming was there. I had trouble at Cupidy during one of my visits in 2002. A host quoted me some outrageous amount of 2,500 baht (I think he started at around 3,000 baht). I balked. He held firm at 2,500 baht. I asked him when Ming-Ming was coming to work. Only then did he relent to 1,800 baht. It kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.

Needless to say, I was relieved to see Ming-Ming there. She quoted me the same price as my first visit in 2000 - 1,800 baht (2,200 baht for the superstar). I guess I've been lucky in developing a relationship with Ming-Ming (a 100 baht tip helps). I've also let her pick girls for me. I usually don't do this since most women have a different opinion about beauty than men, but I've had surprisingly good success with Ming-Ming's selections.

The quantity (there must have been over 100 girls in the fishbowl) and quality is outstanding. Some of my best experience has been at Cupidy. There are, however, a few things that I don't like about Cupidy. First, they have a CCTV that allows the girls in the fishbowl to see the customers coming in. I made a mistake when I promised a girl that I would come back to see her. When I did return, I didn't think the girls in the fishbowl could see the customers since the lobby area is fairly dark. As I sat in the far back in the dark, the girl who I had promised to select again stared right at me through the fishbowl window. Whenever I moved, her eyes followed me. Now I know how it feels to be a jet fighter pilot with a heat seeking missle trying to fly up his tail to kill him. I thought this is wierd. There was no way that she could know that I was there. I went ahead and picked another girl. Boy, if looks could kill, I was a dead man. When I came back down, I sat down to talk with Ming-Ming and the girl who gave me the death stare came walking out behind the fishbowl and walked past me and gave me the "look." That was creepy. It was only then that I learned that Cupidy has a CCTV.

The other real thing that bothers me about Cupidy is that the girls expect a BIG tip. Since the tuk-tuk and taxi drivers bring lots of newbies here who don't know the tip scale, they tend to overtip. The girls at Cupidy now expect a BIG tip. I usually tip 300 baht for an so-so session and 500 baht for a good session. If the girl performs above and below the call of duty, I will give as much as 1,000 baht (very rare). At Cupidy, some of the girls will bitch and moan about a 1,000 baht tip.

Cupidy used to be one of my favorite MPs. However, as I wrote about in my most recent trip report, the papasan tried to screw me with the taxi scam crap, and I never went back. Is Ming-Ming a mama-san there? 1800 is reasonable, but I'm not paying a taxi commission, which seems to be almost mandatory there these days.

Ming-Ming is one of the mama-sans or hostesses there. She's in her early to mid-30s. I think there's two mama-sans who work there. The guys (host) who work there are real assholes. I don't even deal with them (the guys) anymore except to ask if Ming-Ming is there.

I really don't think Ming-Ming remembers me when I go there. I don't go there that often. In the past three years, perhaps eight times. Whenever I do go there, I act like Ming-Ming and I are long lost friends and I'm her favorite customer. I think she's too embarassed to admit that she doesn't remember me. Who knows, perhaps it'll work for you if you go there and ask for Ming-Ming and the 1,800 baht price.

I was also at Cupidy during the first week of March and was very impressed with the selection. I also agree that the Chinese mamasan is extremely helpful. When I asked for a girl who would give "good service" and had a happy, easy going nature, she picked a lady who easily fulfilled those requirements. I have a general rule of tipping 300 baht and the girl was happy with the tip which is another plus.

Interestingly, about one block away from Cupidy (unfortunately I didn't get the name) there is a soapy massage that only charges 1000 baht. There were only about 12 girls in the bowl but two of them were attractive enough that if I hadn't just been to Cupidy, I could have easily chosen either of them. If there are any other sanukers out there who might know this place, I would like the name for future reference.

I am nearing the end of my first trip to LOS. It has been great. The one disappointment was this MP. They tried to hustle me via the taxi scam and the girl was a waste of time. The manager tried to intimidate me a little in order to move me along. I left without having sex with her.

Ended up here after visiting Colognze, La Defense, and Chao Praya2. Wanted to go to Cleopatra but taxi tout said here was better? Tired and hungry what are you going to do?
Cute girls at this place, but stunk of farang. Tourist central. Chose one girl then had her choose friend. Don't remember price..believe it was 2000 baht a piece...in retrospect should have bargained. Slip and side on raft was utter waste of time. Ridiculous concept. Overall would not recommend this place. Where is the round tub and the two smiling girls?

Walked in here recently and walked out after 5 minutes. They started pricing at 3000bht and the selection of girls was shitty.

Some cute women, but not a whole lot of them. Was quoted 3000Baht and after I laughed and headed for the door, got them down to 2000 All-inclusive, no extra tipping. Girl told me later some guys have paid up to 6000 Baht! What kind of moron would do that? The girl gets nothing extra from the house no matter how much extra is paid at the door.

Decent service, but was really getting the full court press for tips. Obviously this tactic has worked in the past. If you don't know how to hold firm on a price don't go here!

Summary - Not a javaj reccomended establishment.
