About halfway in on the North side of Soi Cowboy (left side if entering from Asok) is Midnight Bar.

Nice lineup of ladies. Mid-sized go-go with mostly black decor.

Midnight Bar has two short-time rooms upstairs. Room I saw was very small with very hard and squeaky bed. Two towels and TV with VCD player attached the only other things in room. Room was also hot despite air conditioning. Was quoted 500 for room, 1000 for lady. Would not recommend short-time rooms.

I was there last night and had a great time. I agree with Jceez about the ST rooms. The damn bed squeeked so much and so loudly I thought I was going to go deaf from the noise. I was wondering if they could hear it downstairs over the dance music.

The ladies are very fine here and most wear very revealing outfits. This is also one of the few bars in Bangkok that has some women dancing totally nude. How little they wear is up to the dancer and the less they wear the more they are paid for the month by the bar.

Stickman, of Stickman's Guide to Bangkok fame was there celebrating his birthday. If you haven't seen his website you're missing one of the best sources of info on Thailand on the net. Choosing to spend his birthday here speaks volumes about how fun this bar can be.

One last note. These bars change so quickly and so often that you should look for the latest posts for valid info. I've seen bars in Thailand go from dives to goldmines or from heaven to hell in the space of one month. Also be aware that even good places have off nights. I was at Midnight about 5 days ago and left disappointed after about 20 minutes. In general, get the latest word on the street, don't rule out a bar too soon, and if you're not having a good time trust your instincts and find a place that works for you.

Still a fun place with some good ladies. The beauties are no longer there, but this is a good place to go if you've picked up a few 10's that gave you cold performances. The girls here are 4-6's with a couple of occassional 7-8's, but they have been very attentive and affectionate.

I have discovered an awesome establishment-Midnite Bar. These girls rock! I short-timed a very pretty girl named DA who screwed me like a wild banshee in heat....She also did a funky routine on stage with one of her girlfriends that captured everyone's interest....probably why I bar-fined her. Cost for DA: 500 bar fine each time, 1500 short time, 2000 long time. I also almost always tip more than the agreed upon price with good service-too generous? Maybe... Drink prices are around 115 baht. Not all the girls at Midnite are nearly as hot as Da, but if freaky is what you're looking for than that's what you'll find in that place. I ended up spending much more time with Da for the remainder of my trip. Can't wait to get back!

Kind of surprised no one has updated this bar's thread in almost six years. Then again, given how bad this place is, maybe that shouldn't be a surprise. I give Midnite a peek every time I'm in town, and like Suzie Wong's, it never delivers. On the recent visit, the line up was still bad, bad, bad, and the bar was dead, dead, dead.

Over pricing on the drinks and not a very good line up. Watch out for the stray katooey spotted on stage.

here is the current state of midnite (and maybe all of the bars owned by the guy, not sure).

i spend alot of time at shark bar, right next door to midnite. i used to have a regular girl at midnite before it was owned by the 'new guy' (some call him the 'arab'). it was great, i had a shark gal and a midnite gal.

i have had my eye on one of the coyote dancers that stand outside midnite (as i'm always outside shark bar, right next door). i actually saw her 'interview' with the mamasan a year or two ago. i knew the mamasan well, she always helped me out with the ladies. recently, i saw the mamasan at nana, didn't talk to her but she obviously changed jobs.

and now i know why. midnite has ZERO girls for bar fine. i've been living in bkk for years and have rarely seen a go go bar w/o bar fine ladies. it has been a year or so since i've been in one of this group of bars. but for awhile they had both coyote and bar fine ladies (and i did bar fine the ladies, drinks were more expensive but i didn't care).

so tonight the gal i've been watching for awhile motions to me that i should go inside the bar with her. i figure why not, it has been at least a year since i've been in midnite. why not check it out. i order a beer and a drink for the lady. the waitress asks for a drink and i say no. then the drinks come and there are three drinks. the waitress didn't seem to hear me correctly. so i say no drink for service lady, what happened ?

the 'resolution lady' that was brought about after my complaint was a long time service lady that remembered me from my days at midnite (and i remembered her). but she couldn't do anything, 'after drink order, no get back'. so i say fine, i give the second lady drink to my coyote lady, not the service lady. fuck her.

then i finish my beer and the coyote gal comes off the stage and i order another round for the two of us. i should mention in the meantime, two groups of guys on either side of me leave in complete disgust over their own personal situation. one group of three guys literally ran out of the place, leaving their beers, etc...

so i'm sitting there waiting for my beer and the lady drink. but guess what, my waitress is still burned from my 'no drink for you' business. so she takes the order but doesn't give the order to the bar (just leaves me hanging). so i just sit w/o booze for a few minutes before the service gal i know asks if i need another beverage. of course i say no, i order already. but then i look at my coyote gal and she thinks maybe better we order again. so yeah, i order again and get the drinks.

i was fucking laughing the whole time. what a fucking disgrace. i knew this group of bars was bad but i had no idea how bad it could really get. how can you have a bar on soi cowboy w/o bar fine girls ? i know they have a money laundering focus but what happened to the 50/50 deal they had going before (some bar fine/some coyote). this 100% coyote thing is a real joke.

as far as midnite prices, 200thb for beer and 230thb for lady drinks. at crazy house, you are at 150thb for both. shark bar is 150/170. it is really a shame how far downhill this group of bars has gone.
