This girls at this place did not look that great this time. There were about two cute girls but many of the girls were getting a bit too plump for Thai girls. There were two girls engaged in lesbian activity with flourescent paint but they were not all that hot. The place is very relaxed and all of the girls are fully nude.

This bar pays off the police so they can have nude dancing and shows. This has been the most popular bar on Soi Cowboy for ages, probably because of the shows, but I don't like the place. Here are some of my reasons:

*It gets too busy and it's hard to find a seat.
*The girls have virtually no room to mingle with the customers and during the show they all go out to make room for everyone. If you're looking for a lady instead of a show this is frustrating.
*The place usually smells like a urinal. I would think this kind of problem would be easy to fix. Just clean the place up during the day. I've been here a number of times over a 9 month period and the problem is persistant.
*The show is good the first time you see it. Instead of seeing it again and again I'd rather meet some hot women.
*The quality of the girls has really gone down over the last 6 months.

I'd say go here and see the show if you're new to the area. I think it starts around 10pm. Otherwise, there are a few other bars on the same street that are much better to find a woman or just to kick back and drink.

Agree with everything Frenchie says but I still like the place. I only noticed bad smell one night.

I kind of liked the atmosphere at the Long Gun. I enjoyed the music they played and had a good time with the Ae I took.

Here is an excerpt from my November 2001 Trip Report:

The cab dropped us off on Soi 23. We proceeded to head down the street that Lólita's was on, and then briefly into that Beer Bar Complex that starts on the corner of Asoke and Sukhumvit. We realized our mistake, Dart being the one who had been here before, and turned around and went back up Soi 23 until we hit Cowboy.

We walked all the way down the street towards Asoke until we came across two bars on my list. Long Gun and Tilac. We decided to head in Long Gun and sat down. We both ordered a Carlsberg and took in the show. The song that was playing was Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz. Dart asked me the name of the song and I told him. It would become a theme for the rest of the trip.

The girls that came out all had on faded denim shorts with the top two or three buttons undone. They were topless, with cowboy hats on. Dart mentioned to me that the Cowboy hats were a nice touch. We both immediately spotted targets. The girl I liked was facing me and was in the middle. She was the best dancer out there. While most girls were simply bobbing a little bit to the music, this girl was moving her butt all around, swaying side to side, and just generally moving her body in a way that attracted me. She also had this infectious smile on her face and I had to have her.

Dart’s girl was directly behind, facing in the other direction. I told Dart I wanted to bring the girl I liked over and he flagged down a waitress and pointed to my girl. After she finished dancing, she was brought over to us.

I chatted her up for a while, before making the final decision to go ahead and bar fine her. After all, this was going to be the first girl I barfined during this trip! I didn’t talk to her long though. Just enough to get a positive vibe and her name. I was sold on her by her dancing and her smile. But the booth personality was good, so I bid my farewells to Dart and paid the bar 500 baht so she could leave with me.

Her name was A and she was 20. A went to the back to change and in a short amount of time we were headed out of the Long Gun walking hand in hand towards Asoke Road. She asked where I was staying and I told her the Grand President. The taxi ride there was interesting, going through a wide array of side streets. We would go straight for a while, and then turn left and then right. Then go straight for a while, and then turn left and then right. There wasn’t just ONE street that ran east-west? We actually passed the Royal President on the way there.

Once we arrived, I think she left her ID downstairs and we took the elevator up the 9th floor where I was staying in Tower 2.

I brought some glow sticks with me on the trip, with the intention of handing them out at the clubs and discos, or giving them to a select few girls, hoping to get a good reaction out of them. I broke out a few with A and put on some of the China Dolls music I had brought with me in the hopes she would dance for me the way she danced in the club. She put on a show for me which was very nice, although it did not last as long as I hoped.

This girl really had a playful personality though. And I enjoyed being with her. When I told her I was from America, she broke out with bin Laden, as many Thai people did once I told them where I was from. But she kind of lengthened it a little. So it wasn’t bin Laden, it was bin Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaden. It wasn’t the Grand President, it was the GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRAAAAAAAND Presideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeent.

Interesting to say the least. After she finished her brief dance, she headed to the shower while I once again took this opportunity to secure all the valuables in the safe. Then I took a shower. When I came out, I turned off all the lights in the room and left the bathroom door slightly cracked with the light on in there. Then we played around with the glowsticks some more and then used them for light in the room.

We started kissing and continued this for a while. But what she really paid a lot of attention to was my nipples. Damn! She just would not let go of those things. After almost a little too much nipple attention on her part, she continued to make her way down to the main course. But it wasn’t really a BBBJ that she provided. It was more like a BBLJ (Bare Back Lick Job). She was good at it, but I would have preferred a little less tongue action and a little more mouth action.

The ball licking was very good, though. We then proceeded to missionary, which was the position we maintained throughout. I think I told her upfront that I only wanted short time. I wasn’t quite ready for LT. After she showered and got dressed, she once again became very playful. For some reason, I started blowing on her stomach to make a farting sound. She started giggly wildly and the next 15-20 minutes became this back and forth between us. I would chase her, finally catch her, and then blow on her stomach. Then it was her turn to do the same to me.

Finally, I put on some more Thai music and she grabbed the Glowsticks and again started dancing for me. My only wish for this session, as good as it was, was that I wished she were as playful in the bed as she was before and after the sex. The sex was good, it just wasn’t like the fun we had before and after. If it had been, the session would have been top notch. I ended up giving her 1500 baht ($34 US) and said my goodbyes.

Last night was the first time I didn't notice a bad smell here. I was killing time and I thought I would drop by long enough to say hello to a dancer I know.

The place was so packed and I was fed up with people crawling over me to get around through the crowd or with people standing in front of me because there was no place to sit. I stayed for about 2-3 minutes and then made haste for the door.

The show that night consisted of groups of 6-7 dancers dressed in the same costume moving robotically back and forth like the dancers in those Robert Palmer videos of the '80s. I guess what made it special was that they all wore the same thing and moved in unison. Wow. Even though I didn't stay for the entire show that night, the portion I saw was identical to the shows I saw here a few months ago.

Obviously, there is something more to this bar and it just doesn't work for me, but go have a beer and judge for yourself. Your opinion might me different than mine, and there's nothing wrong with that.

This place has now surpassed all go go bars (except Superbaby) for talent. They have bought out the adjoining two bars and now have 350 girls working the three bars. Many nude shows with dance routines and different outfits. 10-20 percent of the girls working here are absolute stunners. The only place that I have found a plethora of girls with large, natural breasts placed on such small bodies. The bar is extremely small but comfortable.

My only complaints about this bar is that the mamasan will try to dump some of the lower-end chicks on your lap to generate some business for them. I feel bad for them so I buy them a drink but the girl gets the idea that you might want to barfine them. My only way out of this is to be nice to them but stare at one girl in specific or talk to other girls...this usually gives them the hint. My other complaint is that two of the girls I wanted to take home let me know that they were only 16. One other girl said she was 20 but one of her friends said to be careful because she was only 15. Check I.D.'s and always ask around.

I've got a question: Is it a no-no to ask if anybody on this board has pictures of a specific girl (in this case from Long Gun)? I had the best times of my trip with a girl from LG but unfortunately i only got one good picture of her so i'd love to have some more pictures of her to help bring back the memories.

The world as I know it has changed a lot these last 20 years and more so since the Asian Crisis of '97.

Back in the days of '82 you could walk Sukhumvit and not bump into a single market stall - there were a dozen or so "video bars" stretching from Soi 7 or there abouts to where Robinsons is now. These were "all day / all night" bars where you watched videos, played pool, ate breakfast/lunch/dinner/tea, drank beer, bopped pussie and most times only saw the light of day when it was time to catch the flight "home" to whichever country you were working in. The Miami Hotel had a bouncing 24 hour coffee shop and many of the Aussie contingent from "Fort Butterworth" spent their R & R there. The coffee shop at the Grace Hotel was THE alternative to Thermae until 2am came along and it was time to go visit Thermae. There again the pussie in the coffee shop way back then was a little different to what you see there today - arabic taste has influenced that over the years.

Several years ago - too many to be exact - I first met Mint and her girls in Soi Cowboy. Way back then what was to become Long Gun was so small you often never made it "inside" through the doorway - and if you did, you spent the next hour fighting your way back out again or fighting your way back inside.

From the start, her girls and the shows that went with them were the best in town. The place had "atmosphere" - exploding with "excitement" --- and each visit is like "coming home".

From the early days the place itself may have gotten bigger and the shows "tamer" but these days on most nights you still have to fight your way "inside" and once there you fight the urge to take a pee lest you have a mate to stay put and fight to keep your place for you.

It's still the best place in town - exciting and explosive as ever. The girls the best on the street. And the 15/20 waitresses keep the beers coming and many of them will turn an eye or two too.

Mekong/coke is 75baht. Ladies drinks are 80baht I think (I've never looked). Beer ? I wouldn't know - 90baht perhaps.

Barfines ? I've never asked ...

Whatever --- all I know is it's great value. And even in these days of crackdown, the shows at the Long Gun are really the best in town.

Friday and Saturday seems to be the nights that everyone comes for at least a look see --- Monday / Tuesday when the local enforcement are at home watching TV the shows sparkle though I doubt they'll glitter as much as they did in days gone bye.

A lot of the fun has fizzled somewhat in the Land of Smiles but you still get a wiff of it at the Long Gun Soi Cowboy.

Say hi to Mint the next time you pass that way and look out for me --- you never know, condo may well be back in town that day too.

Dropped by Long Gun last night, one of my favorite places in Bangkok. At 9pm it was not crowded (yet) Plenty of cute girls ... had no trouble finding what I was looking for. As it was "jet lag" day for me I was just wanting some short time company with some one young, cute, slender but not skinny. As usual with the Long Gun for me, short time wanted to stay long time and see me the next day. It is because I am hansom man, strong with good heart. (translate as; 52 with slight belly and overflowing wallet).

I went to Long Gun recently (late December) and I was disappointed as I compared it to my previous visits of '96 and '01. The show was poor and the girls were not appealing. In fact the whole street was shadow of its former self.

Was there in 1st week of April. This bar was freaking crowded! Sat thru a few rounds of Dancers and decided they have some talent in the place, but if they try and cram anymore people in they'd better hire some professional shovers like at the train stations in Japan!

Decent floor shows (relative to other clubs now), and in general a club with some energy. On the downside, the seating and set-up was architected by Ray Charles.

Last night I thought I would bring Hunterman to arguably the best bar on Soi Cowboy. The bar was packed as usual. Had to take a bar stool at first and when a couch opened up we moved over.

This bar has to be one of the most uncomfortable bars I have ever been in. Sitting at a 90 degree angle with a brick wall at your knees isn't very comfy. This doesn't stop the inflow of customers at all.

They had a few shows last night and usually they are good. I have seen some great dancers in here before. Last night, however, was an exception. The shows stunk. One of these 'shows' was like a fashion show. The girls dressed in some long green dress and paraded on stage one at a time. They were naked underneath the dress but one could barely notice. Took forever to finish and the customers were just bored. Took a look around during the show and was hard to find a smile on anyone.

The girls were better overall in Tilac bar. They still had some cuties here but not in the numbers they had before.

I can't figure out why this bar is still so popular?
Fine with me. Don't crowd out the other bars. Leave them open for my fellow Hombres and myself.

Walkingdude - Long Gun just does not have the standard of Shows anymore like Angel Witch. A-W in Nana knocks spots off Long Gun. L-G is like an institution here though and it will always get a good following. Like you and Khun Mor rightly say things change all the time in the BKK bar biz. Standard of BG's compared to Nana?

I'm not sure we were sitting horizontally, I felt like the seats were sloping forward, which added to the discomfort. If they want us on the edge of our seats, they should improve the show and the pooying.

The girls at Tilac were comparable to Nana, I thought, but not at Dollhouse and Long Gun. At L-G, I only saw a few I thought were hot. In Nana bars, most of the girls are take-out material to me.

Dropped into Long Gun last night. The church pews still suck. When are they ever going to remodel the joint? Anyhoo, the lineup was pretty weak, but there was one stunner who got pulled off the stage shortly after my arrival, and one very doable cutie. The best thing about the visit was that the girls were all nude, like the old days, a sight that made me all warm and fuzzy for the BKK of years past.

Is this a new trend girls being all nude? I saw two posts about Soi Cowboy bars where this was mentioned. Is this still the case now? ... I see Murasaki's post is from Nov period (two months ago).

In Rawhide the whole show both times I was there just before and after new years was total nude. every girl every show.

Walked in here the other night. It was between the shows so the regular dancers were up on stage and being around 10pm or so it was packed. All those people wedging their bodies in those cramped little seats. I took a spot at the bar and had one look at the stage, didn't order a drink, got up and walked out. I have never seen a worse lineup on stage at Long Gun.

What happened to Long Gun? Amazes me they still draw a crowd with a lineup like that. Especially having to put up with those damn seats.

I remember not too long ago when Long Gun was the best bar in Cowboy quality wise. To my eyes those days are gone. True I didn't wait around for the show. They usually have some hotties that can really dance. However with a lineup like that I wasn't sticking around.

I was at Long Gun in August. There was limited talent compared to Angel Witch in Nana Plaza.

Kappa5k, Angelwitch has the largest pool of talent that it has ever had. Partly due to Pretty Lady being closed and the opposition being so poor, but also to a more effective recruitment/staff policy. Angelwitch in Pattaya has a much better line-up too. Both Angelwitch bars are receiving rave reviews all over the net.

With regards to other go-go bars, so few have moved onwards and upwards like Angelwitch has. It boils down to survival of the fittest - go-go bars must move with the times.

This is a girl named Dee from this club and i think she also works at rawhide. she was ok and just a little jumpy. anyways, nice gal and worth the time. pics a little old but you might still find her.

My oh my, how far in the distant past are the glory days of this joint. Poked my head in here 3 times over the trip, and all I can say is, who let the dogs out? Although the dancers were nude, it would be a struggle to find anything else good to say. The lineup was simply atrocious. Every single girl on stage was overweight, every visit I made. Very few punters were to be found. And the wooden church pews are still there. This place is on life support.

Even when they did have decent shows, the pews were a deal killer for me.

They're a knee and back killer for me.

Should rename the bar " The Spanish Inquisition".

Finally over the last couple visits the once most popular bar on Cowboy has taken a nosedive. There are still some hot showgirls but the regualr line up is quite weak in talent.

I have been complaining of the lack of talent and uncomfortable seating for years.
