Phnom Penh is next to Thailand and Vietnam. It is still recovering economically. My travel buddy who made two trips with me in 1998 has been there recently and claims new places are opening up and the city is looking better. The main brothel village is 11 Km north of the city, called Svay Pak. Here you got about 35 brothels side by side stocked with 18 to 20 year old Vietnamese ladies. Each place has approximately 10 ladies. As your taxi drives down the dirt road with women on yelling at you from each side they will all say only one phrase, "Me No. #1" while holding up their five fingers which means it will be $5. Yes, the dollar is king there. After you've gone up and down the street you'll have a good idea which place you want to walk into. You'll be warmly greeted and asked to sit down and have a beer. By then you've already made eye contact with one or two girls, they will come and sit with you. It is not necessary to buy them drinks but you can. It will be $1 for drinks. Often a bowl of pretzels will be brought out eventhough unrequested, if you allow that to be placed at your table, it will be $1. After 15 minutes of neck and back massage by your VN girl, you'll be ready to head towards the back of the place where the rooms are. These are simple rooms with a bed which takes up most of the space. Unless you bring a condom you'll pay another $1 for that. If you want a BBBJ, it's no problem. VN women are very talented at giving BJ's. They are rather good at FS too. Afterwards you can wash off in the room down the hall where a big bucket of water sits. You dry off, dress, and pay $5. You can take the lady back to your hotel for the night too, that will be $20.

Two other areas in Phnom Penh exist too: one at 154th street and the other is Toul Kork. 154th Street is mostly VN women, a few Khmer women, while T.K. is evenly stocked. A railway intersect the street and on one side the Vietnamese and the other the Khmer women. This place is more depressed than Svay Pak, however it is more convient to get to. Anytime you see a place with Christmas lights it means there are women inside available for fun, often they will be loitering right in front to becokon you inside.

There are also a number of nightclubs (Martini's), massage joints and Karoke Bars (KTV's) that have women.

You must bring Thai Baht or lots of low denomination US dollars with you, you will need them.

Cambodia is very cheap, but with that comes an infrastructure that is very third world. It would be advisable to travel with a partner.

Ankor Wat, the city-temple is a must see; it a short plane ride west of PP or a long boat ride.
It is one of the true wonders of the world. As I recall there is a 6:30am flight from PP to Ankor Wat with another returning back to PP in the late afternoon. Supposedly there are a few night clubs there too, I didn't see them. Absolutely do not drink the tap water in Cambodia!!!, not even a little sip, or you'll likely get a case of giardia as I did. It is an intestinal parasite which causes severe and constant diarrhoea. Bring a large bottle of purified water, it's very hot there. Make sure the cap is actually sealed on top, Khmer have been known to sell tap water and sell it as purrified. Oh! and watch out for armed Khmer Rouge bandits in addition to the landmines! You can hire an armed guard, however, for $5.

Armed Khmer Rouge bandits? Landmines? How much does it cost to hire a M1 Abraham battle tank with a full crew compliment for a day as escort? ...And you think I'm brave for cruising the Mission? LOL.

When I used to travel Central America frequently I also loved to checked out Aztec and Mayan archaeological sites. Quite fascinating.

I know that plenty of Vietnamese speak English but how about Cambodia? How much can one get by with just English there?

By Bingo on Saturday, April 01, 2000 - 05:59 am:

Not easy to get by. They know how to say "Five Dollar!" repeatedly. If you go there, it is very important to not rush in the selection of your taxi driver eventhough you'll be mobbed by several all claiming they speak English. This is going to be your means of travel in PP, so his ability to understand and respond in English is going to be very important. I can't tell you how many times we (my travel buddy and me) would request a destination and would discover some minutes later that he had no idea what we had said. So, ask some questions at the airport of them that require more than one word answers. You see, taxis are hard to find in PP, they primarily hang out by the airport because those visitors are the only people who can afford them.

Heck yeah, seeing Angkor Wat is like stepping into a time tunnel, going back 1,000 years. The basrelief carvings are fantastic, all those curvy and breasty Khmer women got me going.

I trust your judgement and expertise. Do you think it is worth the effort to go to PP from Angkor Wat to sample the girls? I have read posts that Cambodia is hot now and that there are some real beauties to be found in PP. Also, you wrote in an earlier post that there are some night clubs in Siem Reap (Angkor Wat). What is your knowledge about these night clubs in Siem Reap?
Julian

That info about night clubs in Siem Reap came from Asia File magazine which now has a new name and a new editor, the name escapes me. Anyways, I didn't go to Angkor Wat to view girls, I wanted to see with my own eyes the grandest temple/city ever built.

I will be hitting Angkor Wat and will be coming through PP. My main purpose is to see Angkor Wat. Then I discovered that PP has a few options for fun. Was Martini's a good spot? It should be fantastic. What are your impressions of Angkor Wat? Did you hire a guide?
Julian

Julian, Angkor Wat seems like it is out in nowhere land but it obviously at one time was a major temple city based on the size of it's construction. There will be plenty of kids approaching you hoping to be your guide. I hired one 12 year old kid for a few hours and gave him $10 because he was rather friendly, spoke acceptable English and could add history to the things we saw. For instance, there is only one spot where you can line up three faces at the Bayon Temple and these kids know where that spot is otherwise you'd most likely walk past it. You should learn to say "no" in their language otherwise the kids keep asking you over and over and over if you want to buy this or that! "Mister buy coke, mister buy coke, etc...."

Martini's has a small indoor dance floor and a larger outdoor courtyard where a movie was being projected. There was one middle age lady trying to get me to go with one of her underage flock and that sort of disturbed me. I finally met a lady with a nice pair of C-cups about age 25 who I approached for an overnight session. As it turns out she did have very nice tits but wasn't particularly into sex and she wanted to leave at 6am to wake-up her boy. Khmmer women hardly do it for me maybe your luck will be better, but I did meet one that was on par with the Vietnamese. I only went there once but I suppose I could recommend the place. It's been said that you shouldn't take a motorcycle taxi back late at night from that place because robbers have been known to come along side and point a gun at you. It's quite important to stress that selecting an English speaking taxi driver at the airport will make your trip more fun, enjoyable and safer. My friend and I paid $25 per day to our taxi driver. That's very reasonable. I think the Svay Pak area outside of PP was the best fun and also 154 Street in PP. We tried two massage places but we didn't care for it. When you finally return to Thailand, although it is crowded and polluted, you definetely notice the drastic upgrade in their economy by comparison. Of course that makes sense though. Cambodia was actually a very nice place as late as the 1960's, or so it is claimed. My friend's recent return there indicated that prosperity was evident. Back to Angor Wat, we hired a soldier who was stationed at the temple which has the trees growing into many of the walls for $5 each. At the other sites we didn't hire soldiers nor did we see them. Except for the excellent skills of most of the Vietnamese hookers and for the grandness of Angkor Wat, I wouldn't really recommend Cambodia because of the crime problem and high amount of landmines still there. It's cheaper than Thailand but more risky in all regards. Hope that helps.

Come on guys! Cambodia is crawling with geriatric French tourists and others from all around the world. I visited Sien Reap in Feb 2000 and it's a laid back little town near Anchor Wat. Girls at the Martini club ranged from 4-9, quite young but who knows with Asian girls. No pressure, just 20+ little doll-babies on the dance floor waiting to be picked. Mamason very business like, asks $20 for short time, $30 for the night. So go, see the ruins by day, Martinis by night and live a little!

You are right Cambodia is one of the most exciting places that I have been to. I spend three days touring Anchor Wat and even went to the temple that is about a three hour drive from Siem Riep. I stayed at a hotel right up the street from Martini's. The people in Cambodia are so friendly considering what they have been through. I also took the boat from Siem Riep to Phemn Phen. Which was pretty interesting as well.

I plan on going back to Siem Riep and Phemn Phen in September. I can't wait. I will also spend two weeks in Thailand which I try to go about twice a year. I haven't been there since last December. I am suffering withdrawls......

If you're paying 30 dollars all nite in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh you are going to ruin it for the rest of us. There is a 5 dollar vietnamese brothel just around the corner from the market in Siem Reap. Martinis, Bakheng, and Koulen Discos all have girls waiting to go. Very dark and very Khmer but really laid back.

Lay Lays, Kim Longs or one of the other places on 63rd Street in Phnom Penh will save you the long ride to K-11 for the same prices.

Is the place you are talking about in Siem Riep right across from the outdoor snooker hall? They had a strret lined with massage parlors (maybe three or four). Which direction is it from the market? Towards Martini's, the temples, or the airport?

By Mahroeng on Thursday, July 27, 2000 - 11:23 am:

If you are asking about the place with the Vietnamese girls, I believe it was on a street that ran parallel with the river about 1 or two streets away from the market. It was a typical gated place with red lights and chairs lined down both sides. Bakheng disco on a fork in the road facing river from the market go right about a block or two then make a right. more guest houses along that street. Koulen Disco is more on the way towards the airport. I pretty much went partied with my moto driver Chheang 012-630155. At Koulen he was going to set me up with the singer in the band if I wanted her.

Is it possible to find and have true "virgin" girls in Cambodia. How much for this? No bullshit. Also how does one inquire? Cab drivers? Bartenders? Anyone been approached with such an offer while there and if so did you go for it? Any info is appreciated.

By Mahroeng on Sunday, August 27, 2000 - 12:42 pm:

My life experience with virgins is two. The only thing I can say about that is it was slow going and painful for the girls and not really fun. You can say you were first and that really doesnt matter. Any thing is possible if you look for it, but I doubt you will find it there. There are very young girls there that already have a life time of experience so the chances of you being first is pretty nil. Maybe you could find a mamasan to set you up, but you might not feel right with what you get set up with or you might even get taken in a scam. The reason you would be there in the first place is the abundance of low cost beauties so I couldn't rationalize anything extra. In Thailand I have had the best sex with a little older more experienced girls (23-27 range) and in Cambodia I have been pretty lucky in the low 20s. I will be there soon and I will ask around and see what I find out.

You'd be better off looking for a cherry girl in Angeles City, Philippines where is very common for each bar to have between three and five virgins. The price in both Cambodia or the Philippines will be about $350 to $500 generally, depends on the beauty of the girl and how well you bargain plus how well she likes you. I agree, I had one virgin there before (for free because she was in love with me) and it really wasn't that much fun! She kept saying, "Ah reyko". That means, "It hurts!" The second and third days were nearly a repeat, so I've lost interest in that. Cambodia is a real third world country and you'd better be prepared for that, whereas the Philippines is much more comfortable and tourist oriented. None of the girls in Cambodia are getting medically checked from what I hear. I'd steer you to Angeles City, but then again, I really do like those Vietnamese in Cambodia! The are great in bed, well, most are.

I have heard the same on the PI as far as virgins are concerned and have steered clear of the PI because of the Catholic mentality. Thailand and Cambodia are Buddhist countries and 'Sanuk' mentality won't have you dealing with girls that don't like butterflies. Who would even want to pay 300-500 when the sweet Khmers will stay all nite for 20 (usually take two) and the beautiful girls at K-11 and 63rd Street will lick you all over for 5. Over to you Bingo.

Hey ezgab, if you havent made over here yet (and if you have and are checking postings), I found a great street in PP that you would love to hit. Off Monereth one block in on street 223 then right on street 336. Like bees on honey.

I have been to PP a couple of times. The last times I was there I stayed at the WalkAbout hotel and another hotel about a block from the WalkAbout. I am thinking this time of going to the Hong Kong or Diamond hotel. Any suggestions? I will be in PP around the end of this month.

Tell me more about that street or area.

Thanks

Mahroeng, I quickly looked at a map, the street you are referring to is pretty close to Olympic stadium correct? Have you been to Angkor Wat yet? Are they getting their usual rain this time of the year?

not too much time right now. in pattaya now. PP is getting rain and the rivers are flooding outlying areas. sway pak is ok. the street is near the staduim and not far from martinis. Only got caught in one afternoon storm which has been the norm. will advise more later but gotta go grab another!

The walk about isnt too far from street 63 with lots of action. I stayed near the river since it is nicer in the evenings and river net internet cafe not too far. Sharkeys is close as well. the drive to martinis is longer but always fun cruising around late at nite. get a reliable driver tho whose skills you are comfortable with. Last May I had a buddy of mine get killed by a driver that hit him and his driver and girlfriend on their bike. the girl lived and told me about it. I have had some drivers blow red lites at nite and had some close calls. rather find a good one and stick with him. took a ride up to Oudong. nice 1 hour bike ride north. Site of old capitol hit K-11 on the way back. things are pretty slow for farangs there right now, but very good. I should have stayed longer. Pattaya is good for all practical purposes but I am going thru post Phnom Penh depression. In siem reap I stayed at the vimean thmei. I found it convenient. didnt hit angkor this time but will in december. I also have been gathering some info on sihanoukville and if you are considering pattaya, I think I would hit the coast in cambodia first.less commercial and the Khmers are so much sweeter.

What was this street all about MP, brothels, or what?

Thanks for the info
