Masion 1 is one of four low budget brothels located side-by-side on Calle 6 between Avenida 3 and Avenida 5. Walking from Avenida 3, they'll be on the left side starting about half-way up the block. From South to North, the brothels are Liliam, Paramount, Masion 1, and Pension La Portugesa.

I've heard warnings about wandering around this place, even in the day, but I felt comfortable in the mid-afternoon. The street reminder me of some parts of Quito where I've visited more recently.

I stopped in Masion 1 this past Thursday in the mid-afternoon. The entrance will be on the ground level after the staircase leading to Paramount. This brothel looks different than the rest as the there are disco lights. There were only 3 women, none attractive when I was there. I didn't ask in any of them, but I had heard these places charged in the range of 8k colones for 30 minutes. I think I may visit again tomorrow, but I wasn't tempted to take anyone on Thursday.

I stopped in again that Tuesday. There were six women but all were ugly. One looked ok until I got a closer look.

According to my notes, their hours were 6am-3am Mon-Sun, but that closing time doesn't seem right. Then again, with the disco-like setup maybe it is open much later than the other 3 places.

Session costs were quoted to me at 8k colones. Maybe they have a better evening selection to justify that price, they didn't either of the two times I visited in the day.
