Panama City is expensive by C.American standards.
The currency is the good-old US greenback. The clubs and the girls charge and expect much more than SJO (San Jose) or Nicaragua/El Salvador/

I visit PTY on consulting gig on a regular basis -

The clubs have really expensive drinks and expect you to pay $$ to take the girl from the club for the night (Not before you've bought her a few expensive house drinks :-) )

Hotels that I have stayed sometimes objected to my bringing a guest. Once I just walked to the reception and registered the girl to my room. That was before I had Priority Club status with the hotel.

Many joints have short time rooms attached, where you can take the lovely.

During the week, I go for a hard massage and a FS. For the weekend, if you can afford it hop on to a plane and head for SJO. It is like doing LGA-DCA (New York- DC) or LCY-MAN (London Manchester) shuttle run.

If you do indeed what a girl to bring to your hotel room, do what I did in the past. Tell the girl to come next day directly to my hotel for dinner,drinks and good time, and that you do not what to pay exit charges - They understand - 8 out of 10 times the girl will make it to your hotel next day/evening.

Visited Colon in on the Atlantic side of Panama. Went to several bars on several occassions. Spent two hours with a Columbian girl for $40.00. Prices go up when the Japanese navy sales through... wish I could remember the names of the bars.

OK Mongers, just got back from my 4 day visit to PTY. I can barely walk but I can type. Here are my observations:
1. My Panamanian semi-pro who met me at the airport was awesome. Very friendly and great in the sack. Most of the Panamanian women are of mixed blood but very hot! The only true white women are Colombians and the small Panamanian

2. Golden Time. Say no more, everyone must go. It's kind of like a Colombian beauty contest with you being the sole judge. I will not say more because this subject has been extensively

thoroughly enjoyed Club Liquid and the Cantina.
5. Josephines. Full of hot Colombians. Thanks to my friends on Club Hombre, I set up several afternoon/dinner sessions the next day.
Great place! I did not get to Elite's so I can not compare.

Overall, I enjoyed PTY because the parts of town I was in were safe and clean. It is also nice to see alot of water. It is not a bargain type of place but the restaurants are great and the overall costs pretty decent. Taxis were a bargain! I went to SJO last Novemeber and found that the two mongering scenes very different, but both are great.

Last bits of advice.
1. Dress sharp because the ladies like it.
2. Spanish is good but not a requirement. My broken Spanish did great at the discos.
3. Look like a Yankee. PTY is very Americanized but without the Americans thanks to the Canal Treaty. The girls LOVE Americans( and their money).
4. Panamanian chicas live to dance. Meringue will do fine!
5. Take some chicas over the causeway to the Amador area and party there before hitting the sack. It is an awesome sight on a Friday night!
6. El Dorado Mall has some pretty hot ladies to look at.

The weather is similar to Costa Rica. Not a lot of seasonal variation in temperature, but with distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season begins in December and runs through March. It tends to be a little cooler because of lower humidity. On the Atlantic coast of Panama around Bocas Del Toro, there is also a short dry season in the Fall, September and October. As in Costa Rica, the mountain areas are always cool.

I got a ticket for $305 from LAX to PTY for next weekend. I will be there from the evening of Friday, 1/24, until noon on 1/28.

What is the best hotel that has AC, safe neighborhood to walk in, plenty of chicas near by, and has a reasonable cost.

I've stayed at three Aparthotels and recon'd 2 hotels.

My least favorite of the three was Costa del Sol on Frederico Boyd and Via Espana. I selected this one randomly when hearing it was guest-friendly. I reserved online for about $70 after 10% tax. Rooms were large with a full kitchen, but the decor and hallways looked a little old and shabby. They have safety deposit boxes, no room safes. They have a pool, a restaurant, a gym, and a laundry room. Their business center wasn't open for some reason so they referred me to the bookstore across the street which closed at 7pm. Costa del Sol is a half block down the street from Le Palace strip club, the best place to arrange next day dates with some of the most attractive Colombian ladies.

I really enjoyed Sevilla Suites on Eusebio A Morales, near the intersection with Via Venetto. The kitchen was nicer and included a microwave. A love seat, coffee table, and dining table with three chairs were also available. Other extras included a VCR to go with the TV, a hair dryer in the bathroom, and an ironing board and iron in the closet. The decor overall was the nicest of the three. A modern safe is available in the closet. They had no restaurant, but did have a pool, gym, laundry room, and 24 hour business center for $1 per 30 minutes. I got this room for at their regular rate of $60 after taxes. I also knew in advance that Sevilla was guest friendly.

My favorite overall was Torres de Alba at the intersection of Eusebio A Morales and Via Venetto (very near Sevilla) despite a few shortcomings. I got the room for $72 after tax internet rate. Torres is a two tower building, if you are placed in Tower 1, you need to use two different elevators everytime you come and go. The keys are regular metal keys attached to large plastic handles. The bedspreads were an ugly yellow color and the safe was a bit old fashioned. Nevertheless, the rooms were the largest with the rest of the decor looking very nice and a I had a great view of the city. I had 4 seats around a nicer glass dining table, and a couch and loveseat around a full size coffee table. There was no VCR, but I didn't watch any TV anyways. The kitchen and bathroom were the largest, and washer and dryer come with every room. The pool and gym were nicer. The business center computers were slower, but they were also free.

All three are close to the heart of the action in the city with quick cab rides. 24hr restaurants, internet cafes, supermarket, and ATMS are all nearby. I walked most of the time.

I stopped by the Bristol Hotel which comes very highly recommended, but it was way out of my price range at $175 when Sevilla and Torres were plenty impressive enough.

I also stopped by Punta Paitilla Inn which was also highly recommended for female guest entertainment with rooms less than $60 and spectacular ocean views, but I decided against staying there with nothing in walking distance and preferring doing some of my own cooking and laundry in the ApartHotel. I will probably stay there for at least a few days in the future because it looked nice.

These are summaries, I'll post more complete information in a separate section later.

Inspector. The ticket that I found was on America Airlines. The same fare showed up on both www.aa.com, and www.travelocity.com. The airfare was $305, but when you added in the tax, it was about $370.

All AA fares are now gone, but I still found a fare on Contenental for $314 not counting taxes.

Remember, this was LAX to PTY. If you are in the south, or east coast, you might be able to find an even better fare.

Right now as we speak, there is a fare on Lloyd Aero Boliviano for $214, and Avianca for about $230 on www.travelocity.com from Miami to Panama City.

When checking, you neeed to set the search for "My dates are flexible" to find this fare.

Bkkguru, the "corporate rate" is $ 125 per night. It is more than some other Vladimir has found, but if you can afford it, it is awesome! It is a short walk to the Panama Hotel which I would call ground zero! I am heading back there for Carnaval in 3 weeks and already overloaded in meeting all of the semi and non-pro talent from last time( always get e-mail addresses). My approach is to go after that first, then go to GT as a constant Plan B. Semi and non-pros can be found at the Panama Hotel casino and the discos including Bacchus, Oz, Club Liquid, La Cantina, etc. I agree with Vladamir that La Palace is where you arrange your afternnon specials. on my week at Carnaval.

Going to PC next month. Thought I would treat myself and stay at the Bristol. Anybody know about their view on guest? Also heard somewhere that the bar at the hotel was a good spot for Chicas.

Why stay at the Bristol. The Continental on via espana is a five star hotel and it's $75.00 a night (ask for the corporate rate). They have a casino, and everything is centrally located. They allow guests and women are all over the place.

the bristol is a great 5 star hotel. i think any other place is crap compared to it in pty.
they are girl friendly and will make appt if you do not speak spanish. i have looked at all the 5 star hotels and this is the best , hands down

Nib...I plan to report about the SW scene in panama but will give a brief update here.

On 30+ prior trips to Panama, there were always multitudes of SG's. many were underage and one had to be very careful to check ID's. Many were very agressive and would all but accost you while you walked down the street.

Sometime last year, they started having problems with guys getting drugged and robbed by a gang of SG's. Happened to about 20 people over a two week period. The local police were ordered to shut down the SG business and told to arrest any girl who looked like she was working. As I mentioned in one of my posts, I did not see a single street girl in the 7 days I was there. Doesn't mean they are not out plying their wares somewhere, it is just not as evident. It also seems there was a rising problem of STD's in Panama City attributed to SG's;

The girls in the massage places have..."WEEKLY" health screenings. I got to meet the Doc that does them for GT. He sure had a big smile on his face. Besides blood work, he does gynos to inspect for any obvious signs. If they have any, they are treated and deported back to Colombia immediately. CG-sure, you can go into town and hit any number of massage places during the day. Most open around 10:00AM wich fits nicely in your itinerary. Be prepared though. The airport is sort of far from downtown and you will probably get hit for $25 each way.

Least you do not have to worry about luggage and it beats the shit out of sitting in the airport all day!.

Thanks for the good reports on Panama. I have been there many times over the last 12 years. One place I haven't seen much written on is the Gruta Azul. I'm a veteran of Panama and I'll have to post some trip reports as I'm in Panama City 1 week out of every month.

My experience with the chicas of Panama City have been overall a good+. I've had 2 mediocre experiences, 8 or 9 good experiences, 4 or 5 very good experiences and 1 absolutely stellar experience with no holes barred and begging for the oral outcome...Hell that was my first experience in Panama and a story in itself. I'll just say Peter North would have been proud and she didn't even flinch when it went in her eye.

You probably won't get the massage girls out of their places of business since most are Colombians and there on Visas. They do not want to lose their jobs; you probably wouldn't want to have to pay the house what they would want for an extended absence from work; and, the places themselves probably would not let them go longer than a day or two anyway.

Your best bet is the ad and you may get some semi pros interested. I would avoid regular street girls though. There are some escort agencies posted in previous threads that you may be able to deal with for a longer time period than their usual 2 hours.

If you use the ad, I recommend you be a little discreet in your wording to stay beneath the radar screen.
