Bar Dandy (one of my personal favorites) - Sometimes you have to wait for the girls to trickle in. They are between 5 - 8. But the real value her is just that, the VALUE! Half hour is only 8,000 for the girl and the room. That translates into $21. An hour is 10,000 colones. 10,500 colones is for one hour with a room with a bathroom. They also have a sauna there but I have never tried it out.

What are their hours? Also what is the best time to go there?

They might be closed on Sundays, I've never checked.

They are open in the afternoon, but this is a place that you definately want to goto at night. Around 9 - 10 pm. That is when most of the girls will be there.

They say they close at 1 am, but I'm pretty sure if they have clients they will stay open much later.

If you have a car, park it in the lot on the side of the building. It is much safer than leaving your car on the street in front of the building. Tip the guard, watching your car 300 colones and he will be happy.

As a side note, one of my friends that has lived here for 10 years just resently went on my sugestion. He went in the afternoon and had to wait a couple of hours for any girls to show up. He spent the time by drinking Imperials. When the first girl showed up he was quick to take her. He told me it was the best peice of ass he EVER had in this country. And the price was right. He said he got a discount because it was in the afternoon. I think he paid 6,000.

This place opened up summer 2006, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Great facility, top quality ladies, and no pressure. You can enjoy a drink at the bar and take your time selecting the lady of your choice. I wouldn't classify Pirate Club as a massage parlor like Zona Blue or New Fantasy, or as high pressure like Idem or Del Rey etc. Just a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. Get a great massage and get laid. The VIP room is a must try since it has full top quality stereo sound system, flashing lights, flat panel tv complete with running porno, and even a pole where your lady can dance for you. I've been there 5 times, and IMHO it's the best place in SJ. Location is 10 Calle 12 Y 14. To comment about price, the VIP room and 1 hour w/girl shows a $96 charge to visa. Make sure you have your CR Tica card, or you can purchase one there. Enjoy

Yes 96 is for girl and VIP room. Regular room is cheaper, but the VIP rocks and it's the only room I ever reserve. I had an interesting experience last night. Dave, the owner told me that he had just hired this new girl about an hour ago. She looked about 18 and seemed real shy, but was great looking. Of course I offered to "break her in", but when I got her to the room I got a great massage, but couldn't get her pants off for the life of me. I have never seen anything close to this in CR, real innocent! I complained to Dave and he said "take any 2 you like", so once again I was a satisfied customer.

I stopped in here last night. The club is located on Avenida 10 between Calle 12 and Calle 14 on the north side of the steet. It's easily identifiable with security in front. Taxi from near Parque Morazon was approximately 1500 colones.

No cover. Inside is mostly wood paneling with round inset windows to fit the theme of the inside of a ship. A stripper pole is near the entrance and the bar just past that. Past the bar is some additional seating with stairs leading to rooms upstairs on the left and bathrooms straight ahead.

Guys that looked like ex-pats were gathered around the bar while maybe 10 women were scattered here and there. The prettiest one I saw when I first walked in, but closer inspection showed she was flat and overweight. Selection was in the 4/10-7/10 range.

Drinks for the women were 4500 colones. 30 minutes was 16k colones, 60 minutes was 26k colones. Rooms were clean with bed and shower, but no toilet, and were spacious enough to be comfortable. VIP was occupied so I didn't see it and forget the quoted price.

I was not overly impressed, but I would recommend the Pirate Club.

I liked the Pirate. You can get some serious milage at the bar just buying a drink for the ladies.

I was in there with a different guy I met at the Hotel Little Havana and he opted to take a girl for a session while I sat and drank. He came back well satisfied for a total cost of like $40 USD. Not too bad...
