Dolce Vita is mentioned in 2012/08 MrMeaner - Risky Business in Quito

Dolce Vita is located at Mosquera Narvaez 269 on the south side of the street about half way between 10 de Augusto and Avenida America. It's just to the left of a hotel called Hotel Express. It used to be called Fragata Disco, and I've found that most cab drivers know the old name but not the new one.

Cover was $5 on a Thursday. Unlike previous visits, the club was quiet and the exterior was dark. It appeared as though they were operating under the radar. The police appeared to know that the club was open, but didn't bother them as long as the music was low, the exterior lights were off, and the gate was closed while they were out front.

Despite being prime time, there were hardly any ladies when I was there. I was only one of a small number of customers as well. There were a couple I would have considered talking to and maybe taking to a room, but they were busy the entire short time I was there.

I didn't ask about session prices, but I suspect they hadn't changed. On my last visit it was $20 per 20 minute interval.

When I left, the police were out front so I had to wait in the dark for a bit until they left.

The entire experience wasn't too pleasant, so I didn't return on this trip. I'll visit again next trip, though.
