I will say that L~Uomo is a nice place, but I have to pass along a concern about the way they manage the rooms. Essentially the current policy during a busy time results in bait and switch or wait and donīt bitch. Ask for a Suite, okay, no, not okay, but you can use the Super Suite. Time to settle up, Super Suite rate X 2. Donīt want any problems for the girls, which is where it was clearly heading. Only $20 US, but bad business on their part. Next visit, ask for Suite, no suite, cabini--yes, how about for an hour, yes, but pay suite price. No wait, check to make sure it is okay with manager. Never mind, just give me cabini for 40 minutes, now we donīt have, you can wait 15 minutes. Which means 30, for those not in the know.

At the end of the day this is a principal issue. Just like the guys who believe, not paying in US is important, or negotiating every Real is important, this matters in the market of how a customer is treated. Could LÚomo be heading the direction of Centauras, I see more in common between these to than the other Termas. I wish for you good times here and make them treat you well, it seems like they are exploring what you will let them do.

I went to L'uomo on a Monday night during Carnaval. I should have known that it was a bad sign when we had to wait to get in because it was too crowded. Once they let us in, we change and head into the bar area. After a half an hour of drinks and dancing, one of my friends picks a lady to head off to a room. He comes back a minute later saying that there was such a waiting list for rooms, that none would be available for the rest of the night. Needless to say, we changed back into our clothes and headed for the door. They gave us a little break on the entrance and drinks, but it was still R$30 per person. I will not be visiting L'uomo again anytime soon. They still had 3.5 hours before they closed, and there was no way to get a room. Why continue to let people in the door if you know the sole purpose for their visit is to get their shag on and that is the one thing that is not possible.

Pick the girl youĄ­re attracted the most, try to have her accept a drink and sit down on the couches, you should be able to make out within 2 minutes, expect between 5 to 30 min frenching before heading to cabin. Girl may ask you cabin or suite, choose whichever and have fun.

Seems that everything has gone up in brazil, termas, taxis. In SP Bomboa entrance went up to 80R. Parthenon hotels increased their prices start of the year.

Billcink, I am in Luomo about 6 days a week and the dj always plays a mix. He plays them in sets. hip hop, then usually brazilian dance music and then they break it up with a set of 2 or 3 strip shows.

Monte Carlo and Solarium increased entrance fee to 50R. I donīt believe Luomo gives entrance break any more. Help entrance is 25R after midnight. Meia Pataca, I got sticker shock reading menu.

Price increases hurt ordinary, poor Brasilians far more than foreigners...don't complain....

If you're eating at Meia Pataca, you're lucky if all you get is sticker shock (kidding). Actually though, the few times I've been there the waiter has tried to screw us by adding a generous tip for himself to the tab, and incorporating it in the overall price so we wouldn't know unless we were paying attention. Plus, IMHO, MP has to have some of the ugliest programma girls on the planet (outside of TJ that is).

I think adding the tip into the bill is standard practice in MP. I didn't learn that until I had been going there for a few years, I always tipped them after I paid the bill. One day a girl saw me leave a tip and explained to me that the tip was included in the bill, I then realized that what I thought was tax was really the waiter's tip.

Was there this past Saturday. Entrance fee is 50 Reais. If you do a session you get a 30 Reais discount.

When at MP (cafe) and you ask for your bill. The garcon/waiter will add up your bill on a blank piece of paper and the number before the total is the 10% tip.
