Mcdijj, for me the main reasons to go to 4x4 are the fact that it's cheap, and the fact it's crowded.

I love going on a Friday as it's a change of pace from those Termas that are more laidback. I went there last week after chilling at Aeroporto for a couple of hours, and the energy/smell of sex when I hit the boite at 4x4 was tangible.

I've never seen anywhere near 5:1 guys:girls there. That said, 10pm is a bit late to go there and explains why you had more fun on your previous visit.

If you want cheap, I think Luomos is around $R160-$R170.
Dont they discount your entrance fee somewhere like $R30 if you take a girl to the cabin.

4X4 is very busy from 17:00 to 23:00, by 23:30 itīs deserted. A few girls end at Help around 1:00. 4x4 is a meat market while Help is the flea market. Itīs like TJ early on at 16:00 with the unattractive ones desperately hoping for quick hook.

Get off at either corner and walk inbound to the above address. That's what I alway's do.

I finally became a 4x4 convert on this trip. But I recommend to go at night after 8:00 pm, all the pretty ones are there, yes it gets so crowded but you can find ininciantes and pros but safadas pros. Talent not too good in 4x4 last night..many of us complaining just a bit...a few of the wives were MIA..

This place still is great, but not up to past standards. No 9s, maybe some 8s, plenty of 7s. Quantity is down by a fourth or even a third, as well. I still go nearly everyday.

Yeah, the Asian girl at 4 X 4 asked me for a tip also when I was there a week or so ago. I believe she was doing the same thing 2 years ago (my previous trip to Rio), if memory serves me right. I said (with a smile) something like "why should I tip you, you only take my money." It was the same routine at Solarium though, request for a tip on the way out, and this too duplicated what happened during my Solarium visits 2 years ago.
No requests for tips at Monte Carlo or Luomo though.
Having said all this, my two favorite termas on this trip were 4 X 4 and Luomo. I was disappointed with 65 (my first visit there and I left without taking a garota) and not real impressed with Solarium or Monte Carlo. But things change and I may have a different opinion on my next trip, which I hope doesn't take another two years to happen.

For the first time ever at 4X4, one of the waitresses came out to ask me for a tip before I left. The small one with the glasses, she saw me dressed and waiting to pay my bill and asked me for a tip. I gave her 5R for all the times she brought me water and drinks for the other girls.

I was thinking with the people coming out of the woodwork asking for tips from us gringoes maybe because some of us tip the locker room lady and the word is out. I usually tip her from 3 to 5 reals. Cueball: You may be onto something. However, this is not a new phenomenon as I was asked for tips at 4 X 4 and Solarium two years ago. Interestingly, the only termas that asked me for tips on the way out during my recent trip were the exact same termas that did so when I visited two years ago.

I tip the locker lady 10R each time I go to a terma, its got to be very depressing looking at all the those naked big bellied men all day long:-)

the locker room lady at 4-4 is the only one who gives real service besides the garotas. she is great -will watch your luggage etc.
