i hit l'uomo twice during my may/03 trip.

Laynee - Told ya L'Uomo was worth the trip. The last nite I was there it was like 15 girls and 2 guys. When 3 guys walked in, the girls all stood up and clapped. Hilarious. And man, Shayla is definitely the pick of the litter there (or anywhere) these days.

Basically, the L'Uomo crowds are driven by the number of gringos in town and day of the week. Weekends are always busier b/c the downtown places are closed. Sundays are worse. Sad to say, but during my June trip I experienced and noticed tourist sharks at L'Uomo. Get that tourist dollar for the least amount of effort. I agree with soccer that it would be sad if RTFs (Rio Tourist Fucks) became more prevalent at Termas. I've had sessions that ranged from awesome to average but the only RTF I've ever had was blonde Carol at MC. Whilst the quality of a session (Help or Termas) will depend to some extent on the vibe you have with the girl, most Hombres should be able to go to a Termas and get a good forty min session without being fluent in portuguese.

What to do then? How about one of the following?
1) Start a thread in the Rio section listing sharks' names, brief description and the details of the hombre's gripe. Average sessions happen now and then so hopefully it wouldn't get inundated by people complaining with petty moans e.g. she only took it in 3 holes . Currently, complaints like cueball's are spread around in Termas threads and Trip reports. IMO, it would be useful to have a thread that could act like UWPhoto's cheat list as a checklist before a Rio trip.

2) Use the girls' knowledge of the internet and CH to our advantage for once. If a shark hits on you say that you think she's lovely but won't session with her cos she does CBJ, won't kiss on the mouth etc. If it starts hitting them in the pocket then they may become a little more energetic.

Now I realise the girls can change their "names" and often move Termas but it may help us avoid the worst offenders and nip some of this in the bud. We may be fighting a losing battle on this if the likes of Howard Stern keep promoting Rio to uninformed newbies, but we can try.

Any other suggestions?

I would like to extent the idea to making a review section of Rio garotas where everyone can share there experience. The garotas to be avoided, but also the ones that are highly recommened.

I know this informatiom is scattered allover the board, but it would be nice to have it concentrated in one section.

A good start might be Athos recent blitzkrieg through Brazil although he has some other girls from other cities in it.

I suspect most women size up the man and the situation and decide whether they will try to enjoy or just tolerate the session and also try to figure out what they can and can't get away with. Things may be great for one man and not so great for the next man. And yet, the woman may have done the same things for both men (our subjectivity), or she could really have been a different women for both women (her subjectivity). As we all say, YMMV -- and that goes for our judgments, as well. One woman gave me a tourist fuck, but a couple of others have given her passing (but not great) marks on this board. Obviously, one guy's grades is not going to be much help -- may even prevent some good experiences for a guy who gives another -- totally different -- guy's grades too much credence. I don't give grades for that very reason -- too much YMMV. However, the AVERAGE across many guys might be a good indicator and may prove to be of some use: at the very least, an interesting experiment. I'd be willing to weigh in with some grades for a scheme that uses something like Athos's grading system. But no system is fool-proof, and we are all fools (best at fooling ourselves over many things) when it comes to mongering.

I respect Athos's grades because he is an hombre's hombre, but we can still differ significantly. This month I tried a women who Athos gave an outstanding score as a DFKer. I found her to be, at best, a middle of the pack DFKer. Given her technique (at least the one demonstrated to me) and her physical characteristics, I don't see how she could rise above the middle of the pack -- for me. Average the woman's score across Athos and me for DFK and what do you have? Nothing but a score -- the significance of which is up to the imagination of the interpretator of the number.

It is probably worth a try. A rating system may work for some of the terma girls and maybe for a few of the Help standouts, but I think that at least as far as Rio is concerned, there are just too many girls and too much turnover and the ratings (as others have concluded) would have way too much YMMV to be of much help.

CR-You may be right but there is always the benefit of knowing who not to approach as well. Case in point. Gisele from NYE in Rio. I would warn any Hombre to stay away from her. This was further supported by a guy on another board.

She is a looker but all hardcore and a real bitch. We have all had those experiences. Now, I just toy with her and have the last laugh.

So look at it as YMMV for some but "stay away from this garota/chica" for others!

Walking on Sisqueira Campos from Avenida Coapacabana I saw a map of the shopping center by one of the entrances. I don't think it had the names of the stores just the numbers. I managed to make my way upstairs. Since it was a saturday evening most of the stores were closed. I saw a couple of security and asked them where it was. After one left and one right, I was there.

It's the second floor, #15 I think. I had a hard time finding it the first time as UW's cheat sheet didn't have the floor and # on it. The signs on the 1st floor don't mention Luomo but when you go upstairs Luomo is on every sign.

As far as where are the escalators, there are several of them, not sure why Dion couldn't find them. I just asked a security guard where Luomo was and he pointed to the nearest escalator and said 2nd floor.
