Well after exhausting research on the best place to meet the most beautiful non-working women I've come up w/ two places in my opinion, Cali & Brazil. I'm choosing Cali simply for language reasons. I've spent too long learning Spanish and I'm not about to start over w/ Portuguese.
I plan on venturing to Cali towards the end of March on a primarily non-mongering excursion. I have a couple of questions:
1)Is there any recent info on the dangers & economic situation in Cali? 2) What’s the deal w/ these online agencies for meeting non-working girls? Are these girls for real or what?
Any additional info on Cali would be appreciated.

If it's your first trip to Colombia I would recommend Cartagena as opposed to Cali. Think of it as a training session.
Plenty of non-pro 'good girls' and a more relaxed atmosphere than Cali.
The agencies are real, overpriced, and the girls you will meet are VERY willing to meet a gringo. Mostly because you have money and papers...
Cali does have beautiful women, but the agency route won't get you to the real keepers. And working the clubs will be more difficult there. Colombia has a very marked social bias. I have seen absolutely beautiful women, commented on them, and had friends tell me, "She's low class. The kind of girl you fuck, not the kind you date."
And the really nice (upper class) girls will be less willing to be seen with you because OTHER PEOPLE will think they're with you for the papers or money.
Maybe it doesn't matter. Judgement call.
In either place you'll have a good time. Cartagena is slightly less expensive and slightly safer but I go to both cities.

Bonvvnt,
You want to do Colombia sometime in early June?
I am a Spanish teacher and would like to do an end of year celebration. I have have never been to S. America, but from what I've been reading on these posts I'm really missing out on some interesting stuff.
It's not all about mongering with me. Of course I like it, but I like to see the sights, drink some beers with the locals and have some laughs along the way...
By Mustang on Friday, March 22, 2002 - 11:59 am: Edit |
Cartagena is less expensive than Cali? Well, that would be a pleasant surprise. I'll have to check it out b/c always heard Cartagena was a tourist beach town.
I know agencies get a bad rap, and mostly deserved. Here's one that was pretty good in Cali: www.latinbest.com - I paid $70 for 2 weeks.
I personally liked Cali, only b/c I'm partial to big tits and tight, round asses. The quality IS a bit less than, say, Bogota - where the facial features are finer, bodies a little flatter, skin a little lighter. Heads a little fuller.
That's my take............

Luvthmldys,
I am planning a trip to Cali, the week of June 30th. I am flexible in terms of the city. Let me know if you are interested.
Mustang,
I agree with you. Cali is definitely less expensive than Cartajena. Less Grigos means less demand which results in lower prices.
I have some questions for you. Can I email or call you?
Thanks!

Guys,
When (month/week) is "La Feria" celebrated?
Is this a national celebration or just confined to the city of Cali?
Is it similar to the Rio carnival in Brazil with lots of chicas available??
Thanks!

By Mr. Muleskinner on Thursday, January 23, 2003 - 04:39 pm: Edit |
In Cali, the main celebration is called the "Feria de Cali", which starts annually on December 25th and continues till the end of the year (with some events continuing a few days after the new year).
Most cities in South America set aside a week of events that celebrates the cities heritage and culture, and the city of Cali has one the best fairs in Colombia.
Expect street parades with lots of cowboys and cowgirls on horses, loud firecrackers, theatre, bullfights, alot of food stands, parties in the clubs, and lots of good looking Cali women. The highlights are the marathon concert of salsa bands attended by international salsa singers and the womens beauty contest that always is a crowd pleaser.
By Gator on Friday, January 24, 2003 - 09:07 am: Edit |
This particular event is confined to Cali but people from all over Colombia (as well as other places in Central and South America) come to party. Sala and headliner entertainers rotate to different parts of the city so everone gets a shot at the name groups. Also this is the start of the bull fights in Cali.
Lots of fun, depending upon your Spanish language ability.

Lamuerte;
From what I have heard and read, Cali is a great town for picking up non-working girls for short term relationships or one-nighters. I hope to travel to Cali this year to discover more about the famous women of Cali - said to be some of the most beautiful women in all of South America.
From a purely "tourist" perspective, it appears that there is not much to do or see in Cali during the daytime, in comparison to the great historical cities of Cartagena or Bogota.
Some of the best daytime activies are outside Cali in the countryside, but at present any travel outside the city is not recommended - due to the FARC siutation.
I would suggest a visit to one of the larger shopping malls in Cali. Reports suggest alot of "eye-candy" walking around during the daytime. Message/whore houses seem to abound in Cali but you would need the services of a local you can trust to help you find the best ones. Prices for the "locals" appear to average around 20-30 US dollars.
Some feedback from foreign travelers suggest that if you can converse in Spanish, are decent looking, and can dance a little salsa, you can pick-up quality women inside the dance clubs for one night stands.
A good detailed report about Cali is certainly in need on this board. For some unknown reason, most guys who visit Cali in search of "action", never report or write anything of substance after they return other than, "Man, Cali is great - maybe even better than Rio, I can't wait to go back".
Wish I had more insight aout the city. Really lookng forward to your report.
Stay safe.

humm...I'm gonna be in Rio and Sampao Brazil during that time....but if you got 5 nights in Cali, then I suggest you try some of the non-pro action found at the local spanish clubs...the best advice I can give you is to TAKE SALSA LESSONS BEFORE YOU GO! I had more sex with non-pro women that pros...heck I think I only went to a casa my first 2 nights in town..after that, I hooked up with local girls that screwed me every which way I wanted....all for free....the big thing with Colombian women is first; you are a great dancer, and the deal closer would be you are an American..<grin> The better you dance the more sex you will have..it's that simple..salsa is a very erotic and seductive dance...combine that with a few aguardientes..and you are in for a really good night...!! You will have a great time, you can't go wrong in Cali...I which Brazil had the same amount of non-pro action. Remember, Cali is not a tourist-oriented city...sothere will not much to do aside from chasing skirts...but if you find a cutie you like to spend some tie with, try the Cali zoo...I spent a great day at the zoo with the cutie below..and after we saw 2 bears having sex...haha we imitated them back at my hotekl later that night..it was great!

Hey Wood/Randall, should you fly to metagine/gene. It is written/spelled (Medellin).
Don't want you to get routed to the wrong place! Especially where there are guerillas (FARC).
I do love the chicas of Medellin. They are known as "Paisas".

I did a two week trip to Cali in Jun/Jul.
Since the primary purpose of this site is to report on pay-4-play action around the world, I don't have a huge write-up to offer... pay-4-play is not so great (compared to Brasil and Argentina, maybe Thailand or Czech) IMHO.
On the otherhand, the non-pro action is OUT OF THIS WORLD, SPECTACULAR! So, who is Cali for? Most important, it's not for the hobbiest that no longer plays the amateur game, the hobbiest that is strictly a pay-4-pay player. It is for the dude that likes both amateur and pay-4-play, and is in it for more than sex, as described below.
Is Cali for You? - I offer the following:
(1)
You are let's say younger (say 20s-40s), not too ugly (although that may not matter), relatively in shape (ie. not obese)... and who knows, even if you're not these, maybe you'll still love Cali and meet many non-pros.
(2)
You hobby not only for the sex, but also for the GFE, or the companionship (not meaning GFE in the bedroom, but GFE as a destination); you like to make a date (as in the sense of time spent with a girl, courtship, etc.), or I mean outside activities (dinner, movie, country club, etc.) of your time with a girl instead of only sex; ... then Cali may be for you.
(3)
You have some skills. I mean, you don't _only_ hobby because you dislike, or you're not good at, meeting non-pros and scoring with non-pros. On your int'l travel you like (or would like) to blend pro and non-pro action. If you still play the game (non-pro) in the U.S., but don't get quite the results you want (who doesn't want more??), and wouldn't mind playing the chase game if it was so EASY, then Cali is for you!
Guys, I really don't mean to offend anyone that doesn't fit these descriptions! I'm trying to provide detail for those that are going or contemplating a trip to Cali.
To be honest, we saw many dudes that didn't fit
these descriptions, and they still loved Cali for the non-pros. I mean, there were gringos that were in their 60s, or were young but not in great physical shape, or were complete dorks in the personality area, and they all were loving Cali (granted many had paid to have introductions made through numerous services). For example, I know one famous member here, that may be in his 60s but is commonly referred to as good-looking (hell, he's a dude, so I wouldn't know), has plenty of skills, and would kill the girls in Cali!
In Cali, the game is reversed. If you fit the description above, you take on the role of the Swedish supermodel at a college frat party! Girls stare you down, even when they are sitting with a man. You can approach any (well, just about any) women/girl and get a "yes":
"Would you like to meet sometime?"
"YES"
"May I have your number?"
"YES"
...never fake digits, they don't know that one!
...ringgg... "Want to meet me tonight?"
"YES"
Why can't the rest of the world, or the U.S. be this way?
Some girls will give it up the first date, some won't. Some are loooking for material things or golddigging (or blue-digging, as in the passport color!), some are not. This can be used to your advantage, just like they would use their assets to their advantage (I'm not saying use or mistreat girls!).
Well, this is my report. I offer all the detail I have in the various well-organized sections of the Cali thread, for better access.

well - back in Cali Nov 21 Got my tickets today - I will be in Cartagena before that. Now, 2 places that I would want to visit on this trip is Popayan...there are some very nice looking girls here - Popayan is about a 45 minte flight just south of Cali. I am going here because I am extremely fluent in spanish, and even look spanish so I will report on how safe it is to go there for the fellow gringos. I also want to visist Bucamaranga...hope I can hook up with some hombres along the way....Flmonger look forward to doing Cali with you again in December....now you are packed with knowledge so your 2nd trip should be a charm! the military airline(Colombian airforce) Satena is the only one flying into Popayan and that is out of Bogotá there are none to my knowledge out of Cali. Road travel not recommended, Best hotel in town is the Hotel Monastery, best hotel downtown The La Plazuela. Couple of restaurants are The Restaurante Italiano in the middle of town, and Torremolinos mostly typica Colombia chicken & beef the staff wears native costumes. There is action but I am out of date so ask that cab driver.
No matter how familiar you feel in Colombia I do not recommend this trip by road. The buses are good but make sure schedule will put you there well before dark. Road and Colombian buses drivers will make you sit at the foot of the Lord-not for the faint hearted. Weather much like Bogotá but not quite as cold-Popayan sits at about 2000 mtrs.
GOOD SPANISH IS IMPORTANT HERE AS ALMOST NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH

Great advice on the hotels - I will surely stay in one of them. From what I have heard - teh best looking girls in Popayan will be very happy to see you and spend QA time with you, I am meeting a girl there I met via amigos.com - if she is anything like her pictures - wow! I am surely in for a good time with this incredible 20 year old. This trip will go well into next year..so I have 2 good months of mongering and partying to do in Colombia! My favorite place on earth!

If you go I would recommend the Hotel Monasterio which was declared National Monument by the Colombian government. It is an old Monasterio, which was operated by Franciscan order. Should cost you about USD a night and is very romantic. The dining room is fairly good but survice is slowwwwwwwwwwww. Not a hell of a lot to do her but the chicas are very pretty. Side trip to Silvia, a town mostly of the Guambianos Indians has a good traditional market on Tuesday, I think. The indians weart mostly navy blue with white hats. BE CAREFUL of photographs-they DO NOT like their picture to be taken.San Augustín archaeological site with its monumental statues is worth a look. They are remnants of an early civilization perhaps conquered by the Incas. The statues mark ceremonial grave sites where gold and pottery are found next to the dead.
If you buy anything get some Colombia Supremo Popayan. It is, IMHO, one of the richest coffees in the world. This on I believe is right up there with Jamacian Blue Mountain.
You could probaply do Popayan in tree days. But, as you know, I really like just bumming around. Again, your spanish needs to be rather advanced to enjoy this trip.

By Sf4dfish on Friday, October 17, 2003 - 04:51 pm: Edit |
I can only vouch for NYE in Rio. It's AWESOME, but also awesomely more expensive! And I have spent six of the last seven year's welcoming the New Year in Rio, and plan to be there for the next one. I hear XMAS is rather low key?
If you've read past posts regarding Cali, Cali in December is probably the much better choice! Especially if you're not to old, habla Espanol, and can salsa:-) Right Batman? sf4dfish

December would be just right for LA FERIA DE CALI (the Cali Fair) which begins about the 24 December and runs into early January. There will be a least 50 name salsa bands and God knows how many who do not have a big name yet performing all over the city both day and night. Other events include a beauty pageant to select Señorita Cali, a variety of different parades and bull fights. The bull fights beginning Chrismas day are among the top ranked in thw world. About 4 million people show up and if you can't get laid in Cali during this season you might as well bite the big one (As Batman about the fair.)

The Cali Fair - my favorite time of year. This is the time where just about every girl from every corner of Colombia visits Cali. Partys are all night and sex until the sun rises during the Cali fair. If you are American, you are a walking winning lotto ticket - every girl wants to have an adventure and is there to party, get drunk, and get laid. There are tons of Salsa bands that fly in to play at many clubs, and many DJ's fly in from Europe to play at some of the top night clubs - DANCING IS A MUST! If you cannot dance, LEARN QUICKLY and head to Cali!

Gator,
In CTG I'm staying at Torre Centauro #403. It looks great from the pictures Eddy sent me, but I think I saw a post the other night saying that particular place was a dump, so I don't know.
In Cali, it's kind of a long story, but I'm staying in the 3 room condo (sharing with 1 other dude) for LatinWomanConnection.com. I was apprehensive about this at first, but the guy gave me a sweet deal (in fact, so sweet I'm suspicious I'm getting ripped off) and said I would have no problems bringing in any chica I want. Hope my roomdog doesn't have too much trouble sleeping.
I planned hitting CTG around Wed. because I (at the time) wanted to get my feet wet, then join a marraige agency for a day, just so I could go to one of those parties you see on their websites. LOL. Now, I don't really give a shit. But I still might do that, just for the experience.
I'm not planning on an itinery change. All my flights from start to finish are set in stone. It's my 1st Col. trip (1st time in S.A. for that matter) and my main focus is to have fun, do stuff other than mongering (while keeping priorities in order, of course) and arriving back in the "good ol" USA with my dick and the majority of my limbs and major organs intact.

Gomjabber,
Torre Centauro? Humm? Keep the Almirante on San Martin in mind unless you are locked in. There is an individual who runs another board and rents an apt out of that building. His agent is Juan Ventura You should also enjoy Cartagena for what it is. You can spend a full day in the old city and try and take in Castillo de San
Felipe de Barajas (Ft. San Felipe). You never did mention your language ability. Good or una mas cerveza quality?. Do be afraid to take buses to get around, cheap and lots of chicas.
Need help on a couple of good places to eat etc.? Just ask.

Funny you should mention Juan. I e-mailed both Juan and Eddy when I was looking for apartments. Check my thread "the wife hunt" to see what led up to this.
Anyway, Juan and Eddy both sent me photos of places to stay. Both looked reasonable. Juan wanted $35/day, Eddy $40. Eddy also included a pic of some piece of ass chica to serve as "tour guide". I kinda liked that, as I'm sure Eddy knew I would. Later Eddy sent me pics of the Torre Centauro apt. It looked great, with clear ocean view and rooftop piscina. I took him up on it. Now I'm getting some mixed messages on the place. I thought Eddy would want to square away a 1st timer and also a TSM/Hombre kinda guy, but now I'm wondering if he's sticking me in some shithole.
Re: language, I'm actually doing pretty well. I've been working on it for a few months now and it's paying off. I got the Lonely Planet phrasebook/tape and that has been a great help. Got the "Hot Spanish" book on the way (it's late though, and TSM is giving me the run-around). I study every day and with over a month to go I'm thinking I'll be in pretty good shape once I hit the Motherland. Right now, decent vocab, phrases, enough to deal with most situations. Been taking Salsa lessons too.
Places to eat? Sure, I'll listen to anything you have to say. There's plenty of info on that in trip reports. Food I'm not too concerned about. What would be perfect is getting a nice place to stay, chica friendly and of course getting the girls. Also some gringos to hang and shoot the shit with would be cool but so far thats looking grim. Gom vs. Colombia? Anything you can tell me that will keep my funky ass laid and out of trouble is good by me.

I'll be in Cali for the Feria this year - I NEVER miss this event - and whatever you do; do not commit yourself to any 1 girl during the Cali feria - fuck 'em and move on to the next - its just one major fuck fest. Trying to meet "the one" should be done after the Feria - not doing so will be a living HELL when you see how much temptation will be walking the streets of this city for 1 week! Many girls even turn semi-pro this week to take money back to wherever it is they came from!
