Ok - so I'm not gonna give you another boring long description of how the place works (you lazy bastards who are expecting that can dig through the other fine reports on the Termas that give the details)

What I can tell you is that I must be on some kind of roll of luck, because once again, I have managed to dig through a boatload of alta morenas e loiras and find a CUTEST little morena spinner, with a face like a princess, a body that was truly bangin' (20 anos), and a come f*ck me attitude that wouldn't quit. Has anybody had any problems with people getting their atm card numbers, and using them? The last place I used my atm, was luoma, and somebody got my number, and charged me up the ass. If I didn't already have my ticket, I wasn't getting out of the country. Right at this moment, my checking account is 500 bucks overdrawn, and my best guess is Luoma.

Any ideas, guys?

My credit card number was lifted in Dec., I think at Terraco Atlantico. I used it last trip at L'Uomo (first time there), no problem.

Use the internet to check your balances frequently, call if there's a problem--the financial institution should take care of it.

Follow the basics:

Make sure you carry a debit card - the number alone won't help anyone fraud you - they'd need your pin.

Make sure you have a special credit card (or two) for your trips. That way if you are frauded, when the bank covers you and then changes your card number, you won't need to contact all your various automatic billing accounts.

I disagree with the debit card idea. Bring a credit card and a backup credit card in the bag, sure. However, I use a standard ATM card so NO purchases can be made against my account. The debit cards scare me.

Somehow somebody got my atm number, and though they didn't have my pin, was still able to not only make big time charges against me, but they overdrew my account as well. Could've been Solarium. That morena at the front desk comes off as being friendly and gregarious, but she's not honest.

So my advice to you guys is to bring back up credit cards, and use them only in emergencies. And when you use your atm at citibank, or hsbc, make damn sure no motherfucker is watching you. I usually go to hsbc, and I'd never had no problems, but fuck! Some fuckin genius fucked me over, real good. Next time, everything is gonna be paid in cash!

And I apologize to all you luoma fans. Looking over my statement, it happened before I got to Luoma.

To put some perspective on the credit card issue, I have never had problems at the termas in Brazil, however, on my last trip to Buenos Aires, where I only used credit cards at a few restaurants, a couple of clothing stores, and the Hilton Hotel, someone got ahold of the information necessary to charge a $4,500 Air France ticket on one of my cards. So right now I'm a bit more paranoid about using my credit card in Buenos Aires than in Brazil, where I have yet to have a problem.

Moving on to the other hot topic in this thread, and trying to put some perspective on it as well, all I can say is the thought of GCL baring his ass at Luomo sickens me as I am sure it does every other right-thinking member of the hombre community.

They charged an international air ticket to your credit card? That does not sound very prudent, as the person has to give his passport information when traveling.

I have used my credit cards on numerous occassions at the termas and upper-end restaurants in Rio and never had a problem. When I'm travelling, I usually check my credit card account online frequently. If they are any discrepancies or issues, I send a priority e-mail from my account and issues usually get resolved within 24 hours.

GCL is not that bad (after all he is a Howard Stern fan). You guys should meet SOG, he is one of a kind. I had a mini-festa on a previous trip and that guy got naked before all of the garotas and strutted around my suite like a baby in a candy store. He even made the garotas giggle.
